Finally, wait is over and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced class 10 Board exams date. This year class 10th board exam will be started from 15 February 2025 and will last upto 18 March 2025, it will take around 32 days to complete the class 10th board exam. The first exam will be held on 15 February 2025 for English subject and the last exam will be held on 18 March 2025 for Computer Applications, Information Technology & Artificial Intelligence subjects. The practical exams/Internal Assesment/Projects & the board's annual theory examinations are scheduled to start w.e.f 01th January 2025 and 15th February 2025.

Algebraic conditions for a number of solutions. Solution of a pair of linear equations in two variables algebraically - by substitution, by elimination, and by cross multiplication method. Simple situational problems. Simple problems on equations are reducible to linear equations.
3. QUADRATIC EQUATIONS
The standard form of a quadratic equation ax2 + bx + c = 0, (a not equal to 0). Solutions of quadratic equations (only real roots) by factorization, and by using the quadratic formulas. Relationship between discriminant and nature of roots.
Situational problems based on quadratic equations related to day activities are to be incorporated.
4. ARITHMETIC PROGRESSIONS
Motivation for studying Arithmetic Progression Derivation of the nth term and sum of the first n terms of A.P. and their application in solving daily life problems.

(Prove) The tangent at any point of a circle is perpendicular to the radius through the point of contact.
(Prove) The lengths of tangents drawn from an external point to a circle are equal.
UNIT V: TRIGONOMETRY
1. INTRODUCTION TO TRIGONOMETRY
Trigonometric ratios of an acute angle of a right-angled triangle. Proof of their existence (well defined); motivate the ratios whichever are defined at 0oand 90º. Values of the trigonometric ratios of 30º, 45º, and 60º. Relationships between the ratios.
2. TRIGONOMETRIC IDENTITIES
Proof and applications of the identity sin2A + cos2A = 1. Only simple identities are to be given. Trigonometric ratios of complementary angles.
3. HEIGHTS AND DISTANCES: Angle of elevation, Angle of Depression.
Simple problems on heights and distances. Problems should not involve more than two right triangles. Angles of elevation/depression should be only 30°, 45°, and 60°.
UNIT VI: MENSURATION
1. AREAS RELATED TO CIRCLES
Motivate the area of a circle; the area of sectors and segments of a circle. Problems based on areas and perimeter/circumference of the above-said plane figures. (In calculating the area of a segment of a circle, problems should be restricted to the central angles of 60°, 90°and 120° only. Plane figures involving triangles, simple quadrilaterals, and circles should be taken.)
2. SURFACE AREAS AND VOLUMES
Surface areas and volumes of combinations of any two of the following: cubes, cuboids, spheres, hemispheres, and right circular cylinders/cones. Frustum of a cone. Problems involving converting one type of metallic solid into another and other mixed problems. (Problems with a combination of not more than two different solids be taken).
UNIT VII: STATISTICS AND PROBABILITY
1. STATISTICS
Mean, median, and mode of grouped data (bimodal situation to be avoided). Cumulative frequency graph.
2. PROBABILITY
The classical definition of probability. Simple problems in finding the probability of an event

Conditions of eligibility for admission to class X.
1. Candidates who have been studying in a School recognised by or affiliated to this Board or any other recognised Board of Secondary Education in India.
2. Candidates can not take admission directly in class X.
3. Candidates had completed a regular course of study for class IX and passed class IX examination from a school affilicated to this Board.
4. The candidates percentage for attendance should be 75% so that the Board to make him/her eligible for the Examinations.
5. Candidate can be admitted to a school only on the transfer of the parents(s) or shifting of their families from one place to another, after procuring from the student the marksheet and the Transfer Certificate duly counter signed by the Educational Authorities of the Board concerned.
6. There is no age limit for candidates taking the Examination.
7. Candidate should have doucments in support of his having passed the qualifying or equivalent qualifying examination.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Thursday, May 5, successfully conducted the Class 10 Mathematics subject examination 2022. The paper is conducted today from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at various centers across India and abroad. The question paper was designed on a scale of easy to moderate. Case study-based questions were slightly tricky to answer but students with conceptual understanding would have answered them easily
1. This question paper contains 50 questions out of which 40 questions are to be attempted. All questions carry equal marks.
2. The question paper consists of three Sections-Section A, B, and C.
3. Section A contains 20 questions Attempt any 16 questions from Q. No. 1 to 20.
4. Section B also contains 20 questions, Attempt any 16 questions from Q. No. 21 to 40.
5. Section C consists of two Case Studies containing 5 questions in each case. Attempt any 4 questions from Q. No. 41 to 45 and another 4 from Q. No. 46 to 50.
6. There is only one correct option for every Multiple Choice Question (MCQ), Marks will not be awarded for answering more than one option.
7. There is no negative marking.

The paper for both Mathematics Standard and Mathematics Basic has been conducted. The paper was of 80 marks, and students have to complete it within the allocated time duration. The paper was divided into 4 sections, namely A, B, C, and D. The question paper pattern resembles a similar pattern as the Sample Paper released by CBSE on the official website. The question paper contains MCQ and Fill in the blacks so those students who have thoroughly solved the questions of the NCERT can easily answer those. Questions of 3 marks were easy to answer. A few questions in the long section were difficult to answer. The overall paper was scoring students who can easily achieve 65+ marks.

1. The difficulty level of the CBSE Mathematics paper 2020: Easy to Moderate.
2. Nothing asked was out of the syllabus and most of the questions were from NCERT Textbook.
3. The pattern of the CBSE Class 10th Mathematics paper was similar to the latest CBSE Class 10th Mathematics Sample Paper 2020 (Issued by CBSE).

The practical exams/Internal Assesment/Projects & the board's annual theory examinations are scheduled to start w.e.f 01th January 2025 and 15th February 2025.
1. There will be four Section in this Paper. Section A, Section B, Section C and Section D.
2. The total no.of questions will be 40.
3. In the Section A, there will be 20 question of one mark each.
4. In the Section B, there will be 6 question of two mark each.
5. In the Section C, there will be 8 question of three mark each.
6. In the Section D, there will be 6 question of four mark each.
7. There is no overall choice. However, an internal choice has been provided in two questions of 1 mark each, two questions of 2 marks each, three questions of 3 marks each, and three questions of 4 marks each. You have to attempt only one of the alternatives in all such questions.
