Description
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued the admit cards for the Main Examination 2026 for Class 10 and Class 12 private candidates. Eligible students can now access and download their hall tickets from the official CBSE website. Carrying the admit card is compulsory, as entry to the examination centre will not be permitted without it.
The CBSE admit card provides complete subject-wise details for both Class 10 and Class 12 examinations. It mentions the distribution of marks for theory and practical or internal assessments, total marks, and the minimum marks required to pass. Most core subjects, such as English, Hindi, Mathematics, and Science, follow the 80 marks theory and 20 marks internal assessment format. In contrast, vocational and skill-based subjects have different marking schemes, including 60+40, 70+30, or 50+50 patterns. Candidates are advised to ensure that the subject codes chosen during registration are correct to prevent discrepancies.
CBSE has categorized eligible candidates into four groups. These include private candidates who are not enrolled in regular CBSE-affiliated schools, essential repeat candidates who need to reappear after failing in previous attempts, compartment candidates aiming to clear one or two subjects, and improvement candidates who have already passed but wish to enhance their scores.
