UP BOARD EXAM CLASS 10TH LATEST UPDATE

Finally, wait is over and Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has announced class 10 Board exams date. This year class 10th board exam will be started from 24 February 2025 and will last upto 12 March 2025, it will take around 17 days to complete the class 10th board exam. The board will conduct the class 10 exam in two shifts. The first-shift exams are conducted from 8 am to 11:15 am while the second shift exam will be from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. The first exam will be held on 24 February 2025 for Hindi & Health Care subject and the last exam will be held on 12 March 2025 for State Language & Electrician, Plumber etc. subject.

As in the previous year, practical examinations of high school will be conducted on the basis of internal assessment (project work) at school level. Individual high school candidates will contact the principal of their forwarding centre and ensure their participation in the practical examination. The marks of practical examination (internal assessment), moral, yoga, sports and physical education of high school will be uploaded online on the council's website upmsp.edu.in through the principal of the school. The website will become active from 10 January 2025 for uploading the marks.

OFFICIAL SYLLABUS

Max Marks – 100 

There will be one question paper of 70 marks. Internal Assessment will be for 30 marks. 

Section A – Reading (10 Marks)

1. One long passage followed by two short-answer questions and two very short-answer type vocabulary-based/language-based questions. 

Section B – Writing (10 Marks)
2. Letter/ Application writing.   (4) 
3. Descriptive paragraph/ report/ article based on given verbal clues.  (6) 

Section C – Grammar (15 Marks) 
4. Ten questions (MCQs/ very short-answer type questions) based on parts of speech, tenses, narrations, articles, voice, reordering of sentences, punctuation, etc. (1X10=10) 
5. A very short passage in Hindi for translation into English (5 lines).  (5)

Section D – Literature

6. Two Short answer type questions based on a given prose passage. (2+2=4)

Conditions of eligibility for admission to class X.

1. Candidates who have been studying in a School recognised by or affiliated to this Board or any other recognised Board of Secondary Education in India.

2. Candidates can not take admission directly in class X.

3. Candidates had completed a regular course of study for class IX and passed class IX examination from a school affilicated to this Board.

4. The candidates percentage for attendance should be 75% so that the Board to make him/her eligible for the Examinations.

5. Candidate can be admitted to a school only on the transfer of the parents(s) or shifting of their families from one place to another, after procuring from the student the marksheet and the Transfer Certificate duly counter signed by the Educational Authorities of the Board concerned.

6. There is no age limit for candidates taking the Examination.

7. Candidate should have doucments in support of his having passed the qualifying or equivalent qualifying examination.

UP Board Class 10th English Exam Analysis 2022

Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (UP Board) on Wednesday, April 06, successfully conducted the Class 10 English subject examination 2022 in the first shift. The time given to the students for the examination was from 08 am to 11:15 am. English paper was made according to the syllabus, and it was Moderate, but there was less time to write. Students who appeared for the examination told that more time should have been given. The theoretical exam had a total of 70 marks, while the practical exam carries the remaining 30 marks.

Facts about Paper

1. This question paper is divided into four sections A,  B, C & D. 

2. All questions from all the sections are compulsory.

3. Section A is based on Reading. Only 1 question is in this section. Question no. 1 is also divided into four questions. This question carries 10 marks.

4. Section B is based on Writing. A total of 2 questions are in this section. Question no. 2 carries 4 marks &  Question no. 3 carries 6 marks.

5. Section C is based on Grammer. A total of 3 questions are in this section. Questions no. 4 to 6. All questions carry 5 marks each.

6. Section D is based on Literature. A total of 9 questions are in this section. Questions no. 7 to 9 &11 to 15 carry 4 marks each question &  Question no. 10 carries 3 marks.
