The Board of Secondary Education, Uttar Pradesh (UPBSE) has issued comprehensive guidelines to ensure the integrity of the 2026 High School and Intermediate examinations. In a circular sent to District School Inspectors across the state, the Board emphasized strict adherence to procedures for handling and evaluating answer sheets.
The UPMSP examinations for Class 10 and Class 12 students are scheduled to begin on February 18, 2026, and conclude on March 12, 2026. The exams will be conducted in offline mode, with the Board underlining the importance of transparent collection and evaluation of answer sheets to maintain its credibility.
Instructions for Students Regarding Answer Sheets
Examination centres have been instructed to inform candidates in advance that placing currency notes or any unauthorized items inside answer sheets is strictly prohibited. The Board noted that in previous years, some students mistakenly or unknowingly attached currency to their answer books.
UPMSP has clarified that any currency found during the compilation or evaluation process will be treated as the use of unfair means and will be dealt with according to the Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024. Recovered currency must be deposited in the treasury, and the incident must be reported to the District School Inspector. Invigilators found negligent in preventing such violations will face departmental action.
