SSC CGL ( TIER- II ) EXAM 2024: Latest Update

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has Released SSC CGL Notification- 2024 0n 24 June 2024, with the Aim of Filling 17,727 Vacancies. Applications started on 24 June 2024 and the last date for Online Application was 24 July 2024. After the completion of the application process, the Commission Successfully Conducted the SSC CGL Tier- I Exam From 09 September to 26 September 2024. Commission Will declare the SSC CGL Tier- I Exam Result in November 2024 And will conduct the SSC CGL Tier- II Exam in December 2024.

Examination Vacancy Notification Details:

The SSC CGL Exam is a National-Level Recruitment Exam Conducted Annually by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). The purpose is to Recruit Eligible Graduates for Various Group B and Group C posts. SSC CGL Vacancy 2024 have been announced for Assistant Section Officer, Assistant Enforcement Officer, Sub Inspector, Inspector, Executive Officer, Research Assistant, Divisional Accountant, Junior Intelligence Officer, Junior Statistical Officer, Auditor, Accountant, Postal Assistant, Senior Secretariat Assistant, and Tax Assistant posts.

SSC CGL Examination will be held as a Computer Based Examination and will contain only Objective Type, Multiple choice based questions.

Medium Of Examination:

1. The questions will be set in both English & Hindi Languages.
2. The Questions from Paper II : English Language & Comprehension will be available only in English language.

Marking Scheme:

There are three papers in the SSC CGL Tier- II Exam and the marks allotted for the questions in each paper is different. The SSC CGL Tier-II marking scheme can be understood with the help of following table:

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Only those candidates are eligible for SSC CGL Tier- II Examination, who have qualified SSC CGL Tier-I Examination with the Qualifying Marks as per Staff Selection Commission.

The Candidate’s Eligibility for SSC CGL Examination is based on the fulfilment of the following conditions:-

Nationality:

A candidate must be either :

1. A Citizen of India or
2. A subject of Nepal or
3. A subject of Bhutan or
4. A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 to permanently settle in India or
5. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam to permanently settle in India, shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (2), (3), (4) and (5) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Note:- A candidate in whose case a certificate of Eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the Examination but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary Eligibility Certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.

Educational Qualifications:

In order to be eligible for SSC CGL Examination, the candidates are required to possess at least a Graduation degree from a recognized university or institute. The candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation can also apply for SSC CGL. However, detailed information regarding Educational Qualifications for different posts is given below:-

	Note:- During the period of probation direct recruits shall have to qualify the “Subordinate Audit/ Accounts Service Examination” in respective branches for confirmation and regular appointment as Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer.
Junior Statistical Officer	Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level; (OR)
Junior Statistical Officer	Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
All other Post	Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.

Medical Standerds:

Physical standards for the post of Inspector (Central Excise/Examiner/Preventive Officer), Inspector & Sub-Inspector in CBN:-

Male	Physical Test:	Walking : 1600 metres in 15 minutes. Cycling : 8 Kms. in 30 minutes.
Female	Physical standards (Minimum)	Height: 152 cms. Weight: 48 Kgs.	Height relaxable by 2.5 cms. Weight relaxable by 2 Kg. for Gorkhas, Garwalis, Assamese and members of Scheduled Tribes.
Female	Physical Test	Walking: 1 Km. in 20 minutes. Cycling: 3 Kms. in 25 minutes.

Note :- Physical Standards are only applicable for the Selected posts.
For the post of Inspector (Central Excise/ Examiner/ Preventive Officer), persons with disabilities will have to meet the physical standards i.e. height, chest and weight s prescribed for the relevant post. However, for orthopaedically disabled candidates, the following relaxation in Physical Test is allowed:
(a) The test of “Walking” shall not be insisted in case of OL and OAL categories.
(b) The test of “Cycling” shall not be insisted in case of OA, OL and OAL categories.

Physical Standards for the Post of Sub- Inspector in Central Bureau of Investigation-

Height:

For Men - 165 cm.
For Women - 150 cm.
Height Relaxable for Hillsmen and Tribals : 5 cms.

Chest:
76 cm with Expansion (There shall be no such requirement in case of female candidates)

Vision:
Eye-Sight (with or without glasses)
Distant Vision: 6/6 in one and 6/9 in the other eye.
Near Vision 0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in other eye.

Physical standards for the Post of Sub-Inspector in National Investigation Agency:-

Height:
For Men - 170 cms.
For Women - 150 cms.
Height Relaxable for Hillsmen and Tribals : 5 cms.

Chest:

What is the minimum age criteria for all SSC exams?	SSC has set different age limit criteria for different SSC exams. The minimum age of a candidate applying for SSC JE, SSC CHSL, SSC CGL, and SSC GD must be 18 years and that of a candidate applying for SSC CPO must be 20 years of age. The upper age limit for various SSC exams differs as per the category of the candidates.

Visit the official site of SSC.
Click on the SSC CGL Admit Card for your region.
Enter your registration number/password followed by your date of birth in the required field.
The page redirects you to the SSC CGL Admit card page.
Download the SSC CGL admit card.
Print the downloaded SSC CGL admit card.

Candidates can follow the below-mentioned step-by-step procedure to check SSC-CGL ( TIER- II ) result.

Visit SSC official website.
Click on the 'Result' tab on the top-right corner.
Click on the result link against SSC CGL Tier II result in List 1/ 2/ 3.
You will be directed to a PDF.
Check your name and roll number in that PDF.
Click on submit.
Enter your roll number and password.
Click on Login.
Download and save it for future reference.
