The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially announced the exam dates for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2025. The schedule was released on Thursday, September 3, 2025, and is available on the commission’s official portal.

According to the notification, the SSC CGL Tier-I Exam 2025 will be held from September 12 to 26, 2025, across multiple days. The test will be conducted in computer-based mode and will feature objective-type, multiple-choice questions. The paper will include sections on General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension. Except for the English Comprehension section, all questions will be provided in both English and Hindi.

This year’s recruitment drive aims to fill 14,582 Group B and Group C positions across various Ministries, Departments, Government Organizations, Constitutional Bodies, Statutory Bodies, and Tribunals. Out of the total vacancies, 6,183 are for the Unreserved (UR) category, 2,167 for Scheduled Caste (SC), 1,088 for Scheduled Tribe (ST), 3,721 for Other Backward Classes (OBC), and 1,423 for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).

The online registration process for the examination had begun on June 9, 2025, and concluded on July 4, 2025. Candidates are advised to keep visiting the official SSC website regularly for further details and updates.
