The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released an important notice regarding the examination schedule for several upcoming recruitment tests. These include the SSC CGL Tier-2 Examination, SSC Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) and Havaldar Examination 2025, and the SSC Constable (GD) Examination 2026. Along with the exam dates, SSC has also announced information related to self-slotting for certain examinations.

As per the recent update, the following examinations are covered:
SSC CGL Tier-2 Examination
SSC Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination, 2025
SSC Constable (GD) in CAPFs, SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2026
These examinations are conducted to fill various posts across central government departments and uniformed services.

SSC has announced the tentative start dates for these examinations along with self-slotting details wherever applicable.
Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination, 2025
Examination begins: 4 February 2026 onwards
Self-slotting starts: 15 January 2026 onwards
Constable (GD) in CAPFs, SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2026
Examination begins: 23 February 2026 onwards (tentative)
Self-slotting: To be announced later
Candidates appearing for the MTS and Havaldar examination should take note that self-slotting will be available from January 15, 2026, enabling them to select their preferred exam date and shift.
SSC CGL Tier-2 Examination 2026: Paper-wise schedule
SSC has also published the detailed schedule for the SSC CGL Tier-2 examination. The exam will be held over two days—January 18 and January 19, 2026—with different papers and sections conducted on separate days.
