Staff Selection Commission has announced the final results of the Combined Graduate Level Examination (SSC CGL) 2025. The official notification was released by SSC Headquarters on May 14, 2026. According to the Commission, 15,118 candidates have been provisionally selected for appointments to different posts in central government ministries and departments.

Candidates shortlisted in the First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA) were required to attend the Sliding and Identity Verification process held in April 2026. SSC stated that applicants who failed to participate in the verification process were excluded from the final allocation list. The Commission also mentioned that the revised ranks published in the final result will replace the earlier FRTA rankings.

Vacancy details category-wise

SSC released separate vacancy figures for Junior Statistical Officer (JSO), Statistical Investigator Grade-II and other posts.

FIX and FLOAT options during allocation

During the sliding process, candidates were allowed to choose between FIX and FLOAT options for post preferences.

SSC clarified that final allocations were determined based on merit rank, post preferences and the options selected during the verification stage.

The Commission confirmed that all advertised vacancies have been provisionally filled through the final recruitment process.

Posts covered under SSC CGL final selection

The final selection includes appointments to several Group B and Group C positions, including Inspector of Income Tax, Assistant Section Officer, Assistant Enforcement Officer, Sub Inspector in CBI, Tax Assistant, Auditor, Accountant, Upper Division Clerk, Junior Statistical Officer and Statistical Investigator Grade-II.

SSC also stated that one vacancy reserved for the HH category was filled through the vertical reservation category due to the non-availability of a suitable candidate. The results of 106 candidates have been withheld for various reasons. Additionally, the Commission clarified that no waiting list or reserve list has been prepared.

The Commission added that detailed marks and final answer keys for both selected and non-selected candidates will be uploaded separately on the official website. Further document verification and appointment procedures will now be carried out by the respective departments allotted to candidates.
