UP BOARD EXAM CLASS 10TH LATEST UPDATE
Finally, wait is over and Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has announced class 10 Board exams date. This year class 10th board exam will be started from 24 February 2025 and will last upto 12 March 2025, it will take around 17 days to complete the class 10th board exam. The board will conduct the class 10 exam in two shifts. The first-shift exams are conducted from 8 am to 11:15 am while the second shift exam will be from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. The first exam will be held on 24 February 2025 for Hindi & Health Care subject and the last exam will be held on 12 March 2025 for State Language & Electrician, Plumber etc. subject.
As in the previous year, practical examinations of high school will be conducted on the basis of internal assessment (project work) at school level. Individual high school candidates will contact the principal of their forwarding centre and ensure their participation in the practical examination. The marks of practical examination (internal assessment), moral, yoga, sports and physical education of high school will be uploaded online on the council's website upmsp.edu.in through the principal of the school. The website will become active from 10 January 2025 for uploading the marks.
OFFICIAL SYLLABUS
Max Marks – 100
There will be one question paper of 70 marks. Internal Assessment will be for 30 marks.
Section A – Reading (10 Marks)
1. One long passage followed by two short-answer questions and two very short-answer type vocabulary-based/language-based questions.
Section B – Writing (10 Marks)
2. Letter/ Application writing. (4)
3. Descriptive paragraph/ report/ article based on given verbal clues. (6)
Section C – Grammar (15 Marks)
4. Ten questions (MCQs/ very short-answer type questions) based on parts of speech, tenses, narrations, articles, voice, reordering of sentences, punctuation, etc. (1X10=10)
5. A very short passage in Hindi for translation into English (5 lines). (5)
Section D – Literature

Prose (15)
6. Two Short answer type questions based on a given prose passage. (2+2=4)
7. One long answer type question. (4)
8. Two short answer-type questions. (2+2=4)
9. Three very short vocabularies based/match-type questions. (1X3=3)
Poetry (8)
10. Two short answer type questions based on a given poetry extract. (2+2=4)
11. Central idea of any one of the given poems. (4)
