EXAM PATTERN

The written examination to be conducted by Union Public Service Commission will comprise two papers as follows:

Paper I

Paper II

Paper II shall be held as a Descriptive Type Offline Pen & paper-based test. It shall contain a total of 100 marks and is required to completed within 120 minutes.

NOTE -  In this paper (Paper II) candidates will be allowed the option of writing the Essay Component in English or Hindi, but the medium of Précis Writing and Comprehension Components will be English only.

MODE OF EXAMINATION

1. Paper-I of CISF AC(EXE) LDCE Examination shall be conducted as Offline Pen & Paper Based Test. Questions shall be Objective Type.

2. Paper-II of CISF AC(EXE) LDCE Examination shall be conducted as Offline Pen & Paper Based Test. Questions shall be Descriptive Type.

MEDIUM OF EXAMINATION

1. The Paper-I which involves Objective Type Questions, shall be set in English as well as Hindi.

2. This paper will involve Descriptive Type Questions in which the candidates will be given an option to write the Essay components in English or Hindi. But the medium of Comprehension Components, Précis Writing, and other communications/language skills will be English only.

MARKING SCHEME

NOTE - These Tests will be only of qualifying nature and will not carry any marks. Failure even in one of these tests will amount to disqualification. Pregnancy at the time of PET will be a disqualification and pregnant female candidates will be rejected.

INTERVIEW / PERSONALITY TEST

Candidates, who are declared qualified in the Medical Standards Tests {consisting of Detailed Medical Examination (DME) & Review Medical Examination (RME), if required}, will be called for the Interview/Personality Test to be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. Candidates, who are declared unfit during Detailed Medical Examination (DME) will be allowed to undergo Review Medical Examination (RME), provided they give their written consent by appending their signature on the intimation indicating the reasons for being unfit. The candidates who are declared medically fit in DME or RME will be called for Interview/Personality Test. The Interview/Personality Test will carry 200 marks.

The Interview/Personality Test would be conducted by a Board of competent and unbiased persons who will have before them a record of the candidates. The candidate will be asked questions both in his/her own field as well as matters of general interest to test his/her awareness and understanding. In broad terms, this will be an assessment of not only his/her mental calibre but also his/her social traits and integrity of character.

The Board would broadly assess the candidate inter-alia in the following:

1. Physical Make-up

(a) Appearance

(b) Bearing

(c) Manners and Mannerism

2. General Intelligence, Aptitude and Interest

(a) Ability to perceive, analyse and present facts and situation.

3. Disposition

(a) Leadership, drive, determination, quick decision-making, etc.

NATIONALITY

Only a citizen of India will be eligible.

AGE LIMIT & RELAXATION

A candidate must not have attained the age of 35 years.

RELAXATION

The upper age limit prescribed above shall be relaxable upto a maximum of five years if a candidate belongs to a Schedule Caste or a Schedule Tribe.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

1. The Educational Qualification for appearing in the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination will be a Graduation from a recognized University.

NOTE 2. A woman candidate, who as a result of tests is found to be pregnant of 12 weeks standing or over, shall be declared temporarily unfit and her appointment held in abeyance until the confinement is over. The vacancy against which a women candidate was selected should be kept reserved for her. She should be re-examined for Physical Efficiency Test (PET) six weeks after the date of confinement, subject to the production of the medical certificate of fitness from a registered medical practitioner. If she is found fit she may be appointed to the post kept reserved for her and allow the benefit of seniority in accordance with the instructions of the government, as amended from time to time

MEDICAL STANDARDS

(a) Eye Sight

NOTE

1. The candidate should not have squint of any degree and should have high colour vision.

2. The candidate will be tested for colour vision by Ishahara’s test as well as Edridge-Green Lantern Test.

3. Eyes should be bright, clear with no abnormality/disease.

4. Movements of eyeballs should be full and free in all direction.

5. In every case of Myopia, fundus examination should be carried out, and the results should be recorded

6. Contact lenses or laser surgery is not allowed.

(b) Carrying angle

Carrying angle should not be more than 15^o for male and 20^o for female.

(c) Ear

1. Candidate should not have any degree of deafness or persistent ear discharge.

2. Candidate should not have any other condition (congenital or acquired) like atresia of the meatus, exostosis, neoplasm which is causing obstruction of ear passage and should not have history or recurrent earache, tinnitus and vertigo.

(d) Nose

Candidate should not have DNS, atrophic rhinitis, tubercular ulceration, chronic sinusitis

(e) Neck

Candidate should not have enlarged lymph nodes, thyroid or other swelling of neck, inability to extend the neck fully or any evidence of disease of spine or cervical vertebrae.

(f) Teeth

Candidate must possess sufficient number of sound teeth for efficient mastication. Candidate should not have severe pyorrhea.

(g) Venereal Disease

Candidate should not have active signs of clinical VD.

(h) Chronic skin diseases

Candidate should not have chronic skin diseases like Leprosy, chronic dermatitis, extensive Pityriasis Versicolor, psoriasis, SLE etc.

GENERAL STANDARDS

1. Speech should be without impediment i.e. no stammering

2. The candidate should not have any indication of chronic disease like TB, any type of arthritis, high blood pressure, Diabetes, Bronchial Asthma, any heart disease.

3. Candidate should not have perceptible and visible glandular swelling anywhere in the body.

4. Chest should be well-formed, devoid of any abnormality like flat chest, pigeon chest, with rickety rosary defects. Heart and lungs should be sound.

5. Limbs, hands and feet should be well-formed and fully developed and there shall be perfect motion of all joints.

6. Should not have any old/mal united fracture of bones

7. There should be free and perfect movements of all the joints.

8. Feet and toes should be well-formed.

9. Should not have congenital malformation or defects.

10. Should not bear traces of previous acute or chronic disease pointing to any impaired constitution.

11. Candidate should have no disease of the genito-urinary tract

12. Candidate should have no inguinal, scrotal swelling, any type of Hernia.

13. (Only for male) Both the testicles are in the scrotum and of normal size

14. The candidate must not have knock knees, flat foot, varicose veins

15.They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

16. Candidate should not suffer from TACHYCARDIA (more than 100 pulse rate per minute) or BRADYCARDIA (less than 50 per minute).

17. Candidate should not suffer from Hernia, hemorrhoids, condylomata prolapse rectum.

NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS

Every candidate appearing at the examination who is otherwise eligible, shall be permitted three attempts at the examination.

CISF Assistant Commandant Executive Limited Departmental Competitive Exam is a national-level recruitment exam to fill the vacancies of Assistant Commandants (Executive) in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).  CISF is a unique organization in the paramilitary forces of India, which works to provide security cover to over 300 industrial units, government infrastructure projects, and facilities and establishments located all over India.

Age Limit

A candidate must not have attained the age of 35 years on the 01st August, 2025 i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 02nd August, 1990. However, the upper age limit prescribed above shall be relaxable up to a maximum of five years if a candidate belongs to a Schedule Caste or a Schedule Tribe.

Relaxation of Upper age limit

The upper age limit prescribed above shall be relaxable upto a maximum of five years if a candidate belongs to a Schedule Caste or a Schedule Tribe.

Educational Qualifications

1. The Educational Qualification for appearing in the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination will be a Graduation from a recognized University.

2. Possession of NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificate will be a desirable qualification. These desirable qualifications will be given consideration at the time of interview/Personality Test only.

3. The candidates should have completed 04 years of regular service in the rank of Sub. Inspector (GD)/Inspector(GD) including the period of basic training and should have clean record of service till issue of offer of appointment.

MOD OF SELECTION

The selection of candidates is completed in the three stage processes by the Union Public sevice commition selection for the CISF AC.

The three stages are briefly explained below.

The Union Public Service Commission's written examination will consist of two papers. Paper-I will be of objective type having MCQs in it whereas Paper-II will be descriptive in nature.

UPSC CISF AC EXAMINATION 2025: LATEST UPDATE

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the CISF AC (EXE) LDCE 2025 Notification on 04 December, 2024 on its official website. A total of 31 Assistant Commandant (Executive) posts have been announced by the commission for the year 2025 recruitment. The Union Public Service Commission will conduct the CISF AC (EXE) LDCE 2025 exam on March 09, 2025.

1. CISF Written Exam

2. Physical Efficiency Test/ Medical Test

Medical Standards Test {consisting of Detailed Medical Examination & Review Medical Examination, if required}, will be conducted after the candidate is qualified in the PET/PST examination. The Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standard Tests will be overseen by the CISF.  These tests will be held at various locations to be announced following the results of the written examination.

3. Interview

The interview/personality test would be conducted by a Board of competent and unbiased individuals who would have a record of the candidates in front of them. To test the candidate's awareness and understanding, questions will be asked in his or her field as well as general interest.  In general, this will be an assessment of not only his/her mental capacity but also his/her social traits and character integrity. 

EXAM PATTERN

The written examination to be conducted by Union Public Service Commission will comprise two papers as follows:

Paper - I

Paper - II

Paper II shall be held as a Descriptive Type Offline Pen & paper-based test. It shall contain a total of 100 marks and is required to completed within 120 minutes.

SYLLABUS

Paper I : General Ability and Intelligence and Professional Skill

PART - A

General Ability and Intelligence: The objective type questions with multiple choices in this paper will broadly cover the following areas:

1. General Mental Ability: The questions will be designed to test the logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude including numerical ability and data interpretation.

General Science: The questions will be set to test general awareness, scientific temper, comprehension and appreciation of scientific phenomena of everyday observation including new areas of importance like Information Technology, Biotechnology and Environmental Science.

3. Current Events of National and International Importance

The questions will test the candidates’ awareness of current events of national and international importance in the broad areas of culture, music, arts, literature, sports, governance, societal and developmental issues, industry, business, globalisation and interplay among nations.

4. General Awareness

The questions shall aim to test candidates’ general awareness and would inter-alia include question to test basic knowledge of history of India, Indian and World Geography as well as Indian Polity and Economy.

PART-B

Professional Skill This test will be designed to test professional skills of the candidates in relation to operational and administrative requirement of the Central Industrial Security Force and will broadly cover the following areas:

Paper II : Essay, Précis Writing and Comprehension

This paper shall test candidates’ ability to bring to fore his/her ideas on the given essay topic, arrange them in a coherent, orderly, concise, understandable and lucid manner in effective and grammatically correct language free from spelling errors.

Further, this shall test candidates’ ability to understand the given passages for précis-writing and comprehension and their skills to summarise the précis passage and reply to the short-answered questions on the comprehension passage.

The application process is online, Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria can fill out the application form. The application process involves several steps, such as registering, completing the application form, uploading the required documents, paying the fee, and final submission. Candidates only need to fill out the application form with correct details, otherwise, you are responsible for rejection.

APPLICATION PROCESS DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

The candidates need to submit the following documents along with the hard copy of the application form to the CISF authorities:

1. One file cover with registration ID, CISF number, rank, name, and present unit mentioned on the front page

2. A hard copy of the online application form (not preview) duly signed by the candidate

3. 3 photographs

4. Date of birth proof (10th certificate or mark sheet) duly self-attested or attested by a gazetted officer.

5. Education qualification proof (self-attested or attested by a gazetted officer)

6. SHAPE-I certificate self-attested or attested by a gazetted officer

7. SC/ST certificate (if applicable)

8. Copy of identity card issued by CISF or other organization where the candidate is on deputation.

STEPS TO FILL ONLINE APPLICATION FORM

Step 1: Go to the official website.

Step 2: On the homepage, click the “One Time Registration” link.

Step 3: Register with the basic details successfully.

Step 4: Click on “CISF AC (EXE) LDCE Apply Online” Link

Step 5: Login with the valid credentials in the online portal.

Step 6: Fill out the online application form with personal, educational, contact details, etc.

Step 7: Upload the required documents in the prescribed format.

Step 8: Pay the application fees and submit the CISF AC EXE LDCE application form successfully.

APPLICATION FEES

1. Candidates applying Online (excepting Female / SC / ST candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a reduced fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred Only).

2. Candidates residing in remote areas as specified may apply Offline through the Common Application Form (Form-E) by paying a fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) through a single Central Recruitment Fee Stamp.

ADMIT CARD

Step 1: Visit the official website.

Step 4: Enter the login details such as roll number or CISF number. 

Step 5: Download CISF AC (Exe) LDC Admit Card and take a printout.

Step 3: Click on the link for 'CISF AC (EXE) LDCE Results''.

Step 4: Enter the required information.

Step 5: The CISF AC (EXE) LDCE Result will be displayed on your screen.
