Questions from the above-mentioned sections are asked in SSC CGL Examination where all the sections comprise 25 Questions and 50 Marks summing up to 200 Marks.

Marking Scheme Highlights:-
1. Each question carries 2 Marks.
2. For each correct answer, 2 Marks will be awarded.
3. There will be a negative marking of 0.50 Marks for each wrong answer.
4. No marks will be deducted for the Unattempted Questions.
5. Based on the marks scored in Tier-I, candidates will be shortlisted, category-wise, to appear in Tier-II Examination.

Normalization of Marks:-
The Staff Selection Commission has already decided to normalize the scores of candidates for the examinations which are conducted in multi shifts to take into account any variation in the difficulty levels of the question papers across different shifts.

Marking Scheme Highlights:-
1. Each question carries 2 Marks.
2. For each correct answer, 2 Marks will be awarded.
3. There will be a negative marking of 0.50 Marks for each wrong answer.
4. No marks will be deducted for the Unattempted Questions.
5. Based on the marks scored in Tier-I, candidates will be shortlisted, category-wise, to appear in Tier-II Examination.

Normalization of Marks:-
The Staff Selection Commission has already decided to normalize the scores of candidates for the examinations which are conducted in multi shifts to take into account any variation in the difficulty levels of the question papers across different shifts.

SSC CGL NATIONALITY
A candidate must be either :
1. A Citizen of India or
2. A subject of Nepal or
3. A subject of Bhutan or
4. A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 to permanently settle in India or
5. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam to permanently settle in India, shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
Note:- A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the Examination but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (2), (3), (4), and (5) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

SSC CGL EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
In order to be eligible for SSC CGL Examination, the candidates are required to possess at least a Graduation degree from a recognized university or institute. The candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation can also apply for SSC CGL however, they must possess the SSC CGL. However, detailed information regarding Educational Qualifications for different posts is given below:-

Note:-
For the post of Inspector (Central Excise/ Examiner/ Preventive Officer), persons with disabilities will have to meet the physical standards i.e. height, chest and weight s prescribed for the relevant post. However, for orthopaedically disabled candidates, the following relaxation in Physical Test is allowed:
(a) The test of “Walking” shall not be insisted in the case of OL and OAL categories.
(b) The test of “Cycling” shall not be insisted in the case of OA, OL, and OAL categories.

No request from candidates for allotting to any other service/ category of post will be entertained by the Commission if the nominated candidates fail to meet the physical requirements. Thus, the onus of fulfilling the eligibility criteria will exclusively be on the candidates opting for such posts.

SSC CGL ELIGIBILITY HIGHLIGHTS
The highlights of the eligibility criteria for SSC CGL are given below:-
1. A candidate shall be a citizen of India or Nepal or Bhutan.
2. A candidate should be at least 18 years of age and should not be more than 32 years.
3. A candidate must possess at least a Graduation Degree from a recognized university or equivalent to be eligible to appear for the examination.
4. The candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation can also apply for SSC CGL .
5. Candidates must check whether they fulfill the prescribed Medical Standards for certain posts or not.
6. Candidates are required to score a minimum percentage of marks in Tier-I CBT in order to get eligible for Tier-II CBT:- UR- 30%, OBC/ EWS- 25%, Others- 20%.

SSC CGL TIER I 2023: Who Can Apply
Nationality/ Citizenship
1. A Citizen of India or
2. A subject of Nepal or
3. A subject of Bhutan or
4. A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 to permanently settle in India or
5. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam to permanently settle in India, shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
Note:- A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the Examination but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (2), (3), (4), and (5) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

The application process is online, Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria can fill out the application form. The application process involves several steps, such as registering, completing the application form, uploading the required documents, paying the fee, and final submission. SSC CGL TIER I 2023: Admission to Examination Centres
1. Take a printout of the admit card and carry it to the exam hall.
2. They must also carry photo ID proof and two passport-sized photographs.
3. Must reach the exam center much before the exam time; candidates won't be allowed to enter the exam hall after 9.30 am
4. Also, carry the "downloaded admit card and with proforma which is an attachment of Admit Card with Post Card Size Photograph duly affixed on it"
5. Do not carry anything to the exam hall except your admit card and photographs.
6. Pen or Pencil will be provided to candidates at the examination hall.
7. All candidates must wear a face mask at all times inside the exam center.
8. If you are found practicing any unfair means during the exam duration, you will be disqualified from the exam.

3. Enter your registration number/password followed by your date of birth in the required field
4. The page redirects you to the SSC CGL Admit card page
5. Download the SSC CGL admit card
6. Print the downloaded SSC CGL admit card

Candidates can follow the below-mentioned step-by-step procedure to check SSC-CGL (TIER I) result
1- Visit SSC official website
2- Click on the 'Result' tab on the top-right corner
3- Click on the result link against SSC CGL Tier 1 result List 1/ 2/ 3
4- You will be directed to a PDF
5- Check your name and roll number in that PDF
6- Click on submit
7- Enter your roll number and password
8- Click on Login
9- Download and save it for future reference

SSC CGL TIER I 2023: Mode of Selection
Minimum qualifying marks in Tier-I, Section-I, Section-II & Module-I of Section-III of Paper-I of Tier-II, Paper-II & Paper-III of Tier-II Examination are as follows:
a. UR: 30%
b. OBC/ EWS: 25%
c. All other categories: 20%
The maximum percentage of errors allowed (i.e. minimum qualifying standards) in Module-II of Section-III of Paper-I of Tier-II Examination i.e. DEST are as follows:
a. UR: 20%
b. OBC/ EWS: 25%
c. All other categories: 30%
Candidates who qualify for the SSC CGL 2023 tier 1 exam will be eligible to appear for the tier 2 and 3 exams of the SSC CGL recruitment process. The SSC CGL 2023 tier 2 exam will also be conducted in online mode. According to the SSC CGL exam pattern 2023, the tier 2 exam comprises 3 different papers. The Tier II (Paper-I, Paper-II, and Paper-III) will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions, except for Module-II of Section-III of Paper-I.
The questions will be set both in English & Hindi except for English Language And Comprehension module in Section II of Paper-I. There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Section-I, Section-II, and Module-I of Section-III of Paper-I and of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-II and Paper-III. Candidates can check the SSC CGL tier 2 exam process below.
1. Tier II has three papers Paper-I, Paper-II, and Paper-III that will be conducted in separate shifts, days.
3. Paper-I is compulsory for all the posts, it has three sections.
4. In the SSC CGL tier-II exam, all the candidates will be required to appear in all three sections of Paper-I
5. Based on the aggregate performance in Section-I and Section II of Paper-I, candidates will be shortlisted for evaluation in Section III of Paper-I.
6. Candidates who are not qualified in Section-I + Section-II will not be eligible for evaluation of Section-III and they will not be considered for the further selection process.
7. Qualified candidates in Section I and Section II are required to appear for Section III i.e. Computer Knowledge Test and Data Entry Speed Test (DEST).
8. Paper II will be for only those candidates who apply for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and who are shortlisted in Tier-I for these Posts.
9.Paper-III will be for only those candidates who are shortlisted in Tier-I for Paper-III i.e. for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer.
1. All the candidates qualified for Document Verification are required to appear for Document Verification along with the photocopies and original documents.
2. Preference for various posts and departments will be taken from the candidates through the Online Option Form on the website of the Commission before the declaration of the
3. final result. A candidate will not be considered for a Post and Ministry/ Department/ Organization, if he has not indicated his preference for it. Options once submitted shall be treated as final and will not be changed subsequently under any circumstances.
4. Candidates, who do not submit their post preference(s) on the website of the Commission within the stipulated time, will not be considered for any post in the Final Result.
5. While giving preference for the posts/ Departments online, the candidates may note that the following posts have specific requirements of Physical Standards, Physical Tests, and Medical Standards:
