Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has Released Notification on 30 July 2024 For the Recruitment of RRB JE with the Aim of filling 7,951 Vacancies for Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent, Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant, Chemical Supervisor / Research and Metallurgical Supervisor / Research. Online Application Started on 30 July 2024 and last date of Application was 29 August 2024. Now RRB Will conduct CBT- I from 13 to 17 December 2024, exam city will be released before 10 Days of CBT- I and candidates can download the Admit Card 4 days before CBT- I. After the declaration of RRB CBT- I Result, RRB will conduct CBT- II.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Candidates willing to apply for RAILWAY JE exam are required to fulfil certain conditions to be eligible for the RAILWAY JE exam. The candidate who does not satisfy the Eligibility criteria like Age, Minimum educational qualification, Nationality, etc., shall be rejected by the authorities. The candidate’s eligibility for RAILWAY JE exam is based on the fulfillment of the following conditions:
1. Nationality
2. Age Limit & Relaxations
3. Educational Qualification
4. Medical Standards
5. Minimum Percentage of Marks
Nationality:
A candidate must be either:
A citizen of India, or
A subject of Nepal, or
A subject of Bhutan, or
A Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v)above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination but the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.
Age Limit:
The age limit of the candidates who are applying for RAILWAY JE must be between 18 TO 33 years of age. Although there will be age relaxations for the reserved categories.
Age Relaxation:
Certain age relaxation is provided by the Railway Recruitment Board to the reserved category candidates for the RAILWAY JE examination. The age relaxation for candidates belonging to different categories is given below:

The RRB JE is a central government exam conducted to hire talented aspirants for the JE posts in different Railway departments.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Candidates willing to apply for RAILWAY JE exam are required to fulfil certain conditions to be eligible for the RAILWAY JE exam. The candidate who does not satisfy the Eligibility criteria like Age, Minimum educational qualification, Nationality, etc., shall be rejected by the authorities. The candidate’s eligibility for RAILWAY JE exam is based on the fulfillment of the following conditions:

2. Age Limit & Relaxations
3. Educational Qualification
4. Medical Standards
5. Minimum Percentage of Marks
Nationality:
A candidate must be either:
A citizen of India, or
A subject of Nepal, or
A subject of Bhutan, or
A Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v)above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination but the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.
Age Limit:
The age limit of the candidates who are applying for RAILWAY JE must be between 18 TO 33 years of age. Although there will be age relaxations for the reserved categories.

Certain age relaxation is provided by the Railway Recruitment Board to the reserved category candidates for the RAILWAY JE examination. The age relaxation for candidates belonging to different categories is given below:

Medical Standerd:
Candidates called for DV will have to pass a requisite medical fitness test(s) conducted by the Railway Administration to ensure that the candidates are medically fit to carry out the duties connected with the post(s) opted by them. Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has Released Notification on 30 July 2024 For the Recruitment of RRB JE with the Aim of filling 7,951 Vacancies for Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent, Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant, Chemical Supervisor / Research and Metallurgical Supervisor / Research. Online Application Started on 30 July 2024 and last date of Application was 29 August 2024. Now RRB Will conduct CBT- I from 13 to 17 December 2024, exam city will be released before 10 Days of CBT- I and candidates can download the Admit Card 4 days before CBT- I. After the declaration of RRB CBT- I Result, RRB will conduct CBT- II.

EXAM PATTERN:
RAILWAY JE Exam CBT II will be conducted as a Computer Based Test. It will consist of a total 150 Questions and 150 Marks (1 Mark for each question). The total duration of the examination is 120 minutes and 160 minutes for PwBD candidates who are availing of the Scribe facility.

Mode of Examination:
RAILWAY JE Examination CBT- II will be conducted as a Computer Based Test. Questions will be based on Objective Type Multiple Choice.
Medium of Examination:
1. English is the default language.
2. In case the candidate wishes to choose any other language, then the same can be selected from the drop - down list of languages.
3. The languages listed are- Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
4. In case of any difference / discrepancy / dispute in the Questions between English and the opted language, the content of the English version shall prevail.
Marking Scheme:
1. Each Question carries 1 Mark.
2. For Each correct answer, 1 Mark will be awarded.
3. There will be negative marking and 1/3 mark shall be deducted for each wrong answer.
Documents Verification:
1. Shortlisting of Candidates for Document Verification shall be based on performance in 2nd Stage CBT.
2. In the case of two or more candidates securing the same marks, their merit position shall be determined by age criteria i.e., older person shall be given higher seniority.
3. Appointment of selected candidates is subject to their passing the requisite Medical Fitness Test to be conducted by the Railway Administration, final verification of educational and community certificates and verification of antecedents / character of the candidates.
Normalisation of Marks:
Shortlisting of Candidates for various stages shall be based on the normalized marks obtained by them whenever CBT is conducted in multiple sessions for the same syllabus.
The Stage- II CBT examination may have to be conducted in multiple sessions for some posts For these multisession papers, a suitable normalization is applied to take into account any variation in the difficulty levels of the question papers across different sessions. The formula for calculating the normalized marks for the multi -session papers is detailed below:
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Candidates willing to apply for RAILWAY JE exam are required to fulfil certain conditions to be eligible for the RAILWAY JE exam. The candidate who does not satisfy the Eligibility criteria like Age, Minimum educational qualification, Nationality, etc., shall be rejected by the authorities. The candidate’s eligibility for RAILWAY JE exam is based on the fulfillment of the following conditions:
1. Nationality
2. Age Limit & Relaxations
3. Educational Qualification
4. Medical Standards
5. Minimum Percentage of Marks
Nationality:
A candidate must be either:
A citizen of India, or
A subject of Nepal, or
A subject of Bhutan, or
A Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v)above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination but the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.
Age Limit:
The age limit of the candidates who are applying for RAILWAY JE must be between 18 TO 33 years of age. Although there will be age relaxations for the reserved categories.
Age Relaxation:
Certain age relaxation is provided by the Railway Recruitment Board to the reserved category candidates for the RAILWAY JE examination. The age relaxation for candidates belonging to different categories is given below:

1. If a candidate is eligible for relaxation of age on more than one ground, he/she would be accorded the highest of the age relaxations for which he/she is eligible.

NOTE-
A candidate possessing more than one minimum educational qualification, mapped to different Exam Groups, can choose any one Exam Group. These candidates would be eligible for all the posts for which they possess minimum educational qualifications.
Medical Standerd:
Candidates called for DV will have to pass a requisite medical fitness test(s) conducted by the Railway Administration to ensure that the candidates are medically fit to carry out the duties connected with the post(s) opted by them. Visual Acuity Standard is one of the important criteria of medical fitness of railway staff. The medical requirements against different Medical Standards for different categories are outlined below:

2. Candidates who have undergone Lasik surgery or any other surgery procedure to correct refractory error are not eligible for the post having Medical Standards A3, B1 and B2.
Minimum Percentage of marks:
Minimum percentage of marks for eligibility in various categories:
UR - 40%,

This percentage of marks for eligibility may be relaxed by 2% for PwBD candidates in case of a shortage of PwBD candidates against vacancies reserved for them.

Step 2: Enter your details, your email I.D., and your mobile number.
Step 3: After registration is completed, you will find the application number generated by the system in your email Id and mobile number.
Step 4: Now login again and select your subject, position, and preferred exam centre.
Step 5: You need to upload your photo and signature to the specified format in this step.
Step 6: Pay the application fee either by debit card / credit card / net banking or Paytm.
Step 7: In the final step, download four copies of the completed application form and the e- receipt for further reference payment.

The candidates can download their RRB JE admit card in the following manner:
Step 1. Visit the official website .
Step 2. Click on the “admit card” tab.
Step 3. Log in with the required credentials in the login window.
Step 4. Enter the registration number and date of birth to download the admit card.
Step 5. Candidates can download and take the printout of admit card on an A4 size sheet.

Step 4. The RRB JE result is published in pdf format. It contains the roll number of all the qualified candidates.
Step 5. If the roll number of candidate is not mentioned in the RRB JE result pdf, it means that the candidate is not qualified for that stage.
