The Question Paper for Single Stage CBT will be of 90 minutes duration for 100 questions and 120 minutes for PwBD candidates who are availing the Scribe facility.

RRB GROUP D: PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST
After successfully clearing the CBT exam i.e. attaining the minimum qualifying marks as set by the board, candidates are called for the PET test, the next round of RRB Group D selection process.
Note : The RRB Group D PET is just qualifying in nature i.e. it is mandatory for candidates to clear the exam, but the marks obtained won’t be considered for the final selection of candidates.
RRB GROUP D: DOCUMENT VERIFICATION
Document Verification is done for all the posts. It is mandatory for candidates to appear in this stage. The documents and details provided by candidates during filling the application form are verified as per their original certificates.
RRB GROUP D: MEDICAL TEST
Candidates need to undergo medical examination before appointment. Candidates are offered a letter of appointment only if they are found medically fit.
This is especially important in case a candidate choses to wear plain glasses, keep or shave off moustache and beard or have particular hairstyle while taking the photograph.

RAILWAY GROUP D EXAMINATION
Candidates willing to apply for RRB Group D exam are required to fulfil certain conditions to be eligible for the Railway Group D exam. The candidate who does not satisfy the Eligibility criteria like Age, Minimum educational qualification, Nationality, etc., shall be rejected by the authorities.
The conditions for RRB Group D eligibility are decided by the conduction body itself. The candidate’s eligibility for RRB Group D exam is based on the fulfilment of the following conditions :-

RRB GROUP D: NATIONALITY
A candidate is eligible to appear for RRB Group D exam only if he/she is:
1. A citizen of India, or
2. A subject of Nepal, or
3. A subject of Bhutan, or
4. A Tibetan refugee permanently settled in India from and before January 1, 1962.
5. A person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, East African countries of Uganda, Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Malawi, Zaire, Zambia, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

RAILWAY GROUP D EXAMINATION
Candidates willing to apply for RRB Group D exam are required to fulfil certain conditions to be eligible for the Railway Group D exam. The candidate who does not satisfy the Eligibility criteria like Age, Minimum educational qualification, Nationality, etc., shall be rejected by the authorities.
The conditions for RRB Group D eligibility are decided by the conduction body itself. The candidate’s eligibility for RRB Group D exam is based on the fulfilment of the following conditions :-

2. Age Limit & Relaxations
3. Educational Qualification
4. Physical Efficiency Test
5. Medical Qualifications
RRB GROUP D: NATIONALITY
A candidate is eligible to appear for RRB Group D exam only if he/she is:
1. A citizen of India, or
2. A subject of Nepal, or
3. A subject of Bhutan, or
4. A Tibetan refugee permanently settled in India from and before January 1, 1962.
5. A person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, East African countries of Uganda, Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Malawi, Zaire, Zambia, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Note :-
1. If a candidate is eligible for relaxation of age on more than one ground, he/she would be accorded the highest of the age relaxations (not cumulative) for which he/she is eligible.
2. No age relaxation is allowed to SC/ST/OBC - NCL (Non - Creamy Layer) candidates applying against unreserved vacancies.
3. PwBD candidates applying against UR vacancies will be allowed age relaxation applicable for UR PwBD only.
4. Candidates should note that the date of birth filled in the application should be the same as recorded in the Matriculation/ SSLC or an equivalent certificate. No subsequent request for its change will be considered.
RRB GROUP D: EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
The minimum qualification mandatory for candidates to possess for RRB group D exam is set by the Railway Recruitment Board.
The candidates who are applying for RRB Group D posts must pass 10th or ITI from the institution, which is recognized by NCVT/SCVT or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT(National Council of Vocational Training).

RRB GROUP D: PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST
After qualifying the Computer Based Test (CBT) for RRB Group D Examination, the candidates are required to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
Based on the merit of the candidates in the CBT, candidates shall be called for PET Three times the community wise total vacancy of the Posts notified against RRBs/RRCs. However, Railways reserve the right to increase/decrease this ratio as required to ensure availability of adequate/reasonable number of candidates for all the notified posts.
The criterion for PET is as under:
Male Candidate | Female Candidate |
Should be able to lift and carry 35 Kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down; and Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance. | Should be able to lift and carry 20 Kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down; and Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance. |
Note :-
1. Passing Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is mandatory and the same will be qualifying in nature.
2. The Persons with Benchmark Disabilities(PwBD) are exempted from appearing for PET. However, after qualifying in the CBT, such candidates will have to pass the medical examination prescribed for PwBD.
3. It is the candidates’ responsibility to ensure that they are medically fit enough to attempt the PET. Railways will not be responsible for any injury/harm suffered by candidates as a result of participating in the PET.
RRB GROUP D: MEDICAL QUALIFICATIONS
The Railway Recruitment Board has laid down the Medical Standards on which the candidates will be tested upon by the Authority. The motive of setting these standards is to check whether the candidate applying for RRB Group D examination is medically fit to carry out the duties connected with the post(s) opted by them or not.
Those candidates who are called for Document Verification Process after Qualifying Computer Based Test, have to pass the medical fitness test in order to get selected for the RRB Group D post.
Visual Acuity Standard is one of the most important criteria of medical fitness of Railway Staff. The Medical Standards under different Categories are listed below :-

RRB GROUP D: ELIGIBILITY HIGHLIGHTS
1. The candidates who are applying for RRB Group D posts must pass 10th or ITI from the institution, which is recognized by NCVT/SCVT or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT(National Council of Vocational Training).
2. Candidates will undergo a Physical Efficiency Test in which the physical fitness of the candidate will be tested upon certain parameters described by the Railway Recuitment Board. These papameters are different for male and female candidates.
3. Candidates need to be medically fit as per the standards set by RRB. Those who are called for document verification need to pass the medical fitness tests conducted by the Railway administration.

Step 2: The page will be redirected to the official website of RRB (Region). Click on Click Here -Online Application to apply for the Group D exam.
Step 3: Fill all the basic details to register as a candidate for the exam. The candidate can access the RRB Group D application form after he/she has registered. It is important to make a note of the register number, which serves as one of the credentials to log in and check application status, download RRB Group D Admit Card, etc.

RRB GROUP D FORM CORRECTION
RRB gives a facility to the candidates to make changes in the application form if they wish to. In order to make modification in the RRC Group D application form, candidates need to pay the application fee. Refer to the details below.
1- Students who wish to modify their form have to pay a sum of Rs. 100 (Non-Refundable). The correction fee is same for all the categories.
2- Applicants can also change their category if he or she wants to. For example from UR or OBC to SC / ST etc for which candidates have to pay Rs. 250 + Rs. 100 (Modification fee) in order to change the community.

RRB Group D: Who Can Apply
Nationality/ Citizenship
A candidate is eligible to appear for RRB Group D exam only if he/she is:
1. A citizen of India, or
2. A subject of Nepal, or
3. A subject of Bhutan, or
4. A Tibetan refugee permanently settled in India from and before January 1, 1962.
5. A person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, East African countries of Uganda, Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Malawi, Zaire, Zambia, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Age Limit: 18 to 33 years

Education Qualification
The minimum qualification mandatory for candidates to possess for RRB group D exam is set by the Railway Recruitment Board.
The candidates who are applying for RRB Group D posts must pass 10th or ITI from the institution, which is recognized by NCVT/SCVT or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT(National Council of Vocational Training).

RRB Group D: Admission to Examination Centres
1. Candidates should report at the RRB Group D exam center well in advance of the reporting time indicated on the e-call letter to complete activities such Aadhaar linked Biometric Authentication of the candidates, the capture of biometric (LTI) and photo, collection of documents, the announcement of instructions and logging in, etc. The candidates are required to carry an Aadhaar card to facilitate biometric authentication.
2. RRB Group D admit card is available now for the Phase 1 exam. Candidates need to carry the printed copy of the admit card along with one photo-identity proof to the exam center.
3. Candidates will not be allowed inside the RRB Group D test center after the entry gate closes
4. Candidates are advised to locate their test center and its accessibility at least a day before the test so that they can reach the center on time on the day of the test.
5. Candidates need to submit their RRB Group D admit cards for verification at the time of the test.
6. Electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, pager, watches, Bluetooth, calculator, metallic wears, bangles, belts, bracelets, books, papers, etc are not allowed inside the exam center.
7. During the exam, additional biometric LTI, photograph capture, and attendance including physical LTI and signature of candidates will be taken and no extra time will be given as this is a part of the exam process

RRB Group D: Mode of Selection
The selection process of RRB Group D recruitment is decided by RRB. The Railway Recruitment Board Group D exam pattern is divided into three stages.
Computer Based Test (CBT)
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Document Verification / Medical Examination.
Computer-Based Test:
In the online mode of 100 marks with a penalty of 1/3rd mark for each wrong attempt. The test is for 90 minutes covering questions from four important and common sections in all competitive exams. Reasoning, maths, GK, and GS. Candidates who obtain the minimum score set by the RRB are shortlisted for the next stage.
1. The examination duration will be 120 Minutes for eligible PwBD candidates accompanied by Scribe.
2. The section-wise distribution given in the above table is only indicative and there may be some variation in the actual question paper. There will be negative marking and 1/3 marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer.
3. Minimum percentage of marks for eligibility in various categories: UR-40%, EWS-40%, OBC(Non-creamy layer)-30%, SC-30%, ST-30%. This percentage of marks for eligibility may be relaxed by 2% for PwBD candidates in case of a shortage of PwBD candidates against vacancies reserved for them.
Physical Efficiency Test:
As mentioned in the RRB Notification Group D exam, candidates who attain the minimum cut-off marks are called for a PET test. Though the test is qualifying in nature, it is mandatory for candidates to pass the test. That is the marks obtained in the PET test will not be considered for the final merit list.
Document Verification / Medical Examination
1. Based on the marks scored in the CBT and qualification in the PET test candidates are called for the verification of their documents. This is a really important stage of the RRB Group D selection process, as if a candidate fails to provide documental proof of information provided by him in the application form, will lead to the cancellation of his candidature.
2. Appointment of selected candidates is subject to their passing the requisite Medical Fitness Test to be conducted by the Railway Administration, final verification of educational and community certificates, and verification of antecedents/character of the candidates.
