The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) has announced the schedule for the Group D Exam 2025. Candidates planning to appear for the written examination can check dates and other details on the official websites of their respective regional RRBs.
Exam Schedule And Mode
The Computer-Based Test (CBT) for Level 1 posts under the 7th CPC will start on November 17, 2025, and continue until the end of December 2025.
The standard exam duration is 90 minutes.
The exam consists of 100 multiple-choice questions, distributed as follows:
General Science & Mathematics: 25 questions
General Intelligence and Reasoning: 30 questions
General Awareness & Current Affairs: 20 questions
Negative marking applies, with 1/3 mark deducted for each incorrect answer.
PwBD candidates with a scribe will have 120 minutes to complete the exam.
Minimum Qualifying Marks
The minimum percentage of marks required for shortlisting varies by category:
UR: 40%
EWS: 40%
OBC (non-creamy layer): 30%
SC: 30%
ST: 30%
Exam City, Call Letters, And Travel Authority
Links to check exam city and date and download travel authority for SC/ST candidates will be available on regional RRB websites approximately 10 days before the exam.
Call letters can be downloaded about 4 days prior to the exam date.
Selection Process
The recruitment will be conducted through a single-stage Computer-Based Test (CBT). However, the Railway Administration reserves the right to conduct it in a single or multi-stage format.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Document Verification (DV)
Medical Examination
