Description
The host website address for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024 has been modified by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Jeemain.nta.ac.in is the new website.
Previously, all information was posted to jeemain.nta.nic.in, a website managed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC). The NTA, on the other hand, has recently created its own platform for JEE Main 2024.
Furthermore, all JEE Main-related material- admit cards, results, notifications, and so on would be made available on the new NTA portal.
“Till now, NIC (National Informatics Centre) used to host the online application forms of the JEE Main. Now NTA has developed this new platform and is in the process of using its own server for activities related to hosting the online application forms, and generating the city intimation slip, admit card, and score card, etc,” a senior official from NTA.
The new website also has an automated chat that will act as an online assistant for candidates. This online chat feature will be available to candidates in the bottom right corner.
Meanwhile, the NTA has trimmed the JEE Main 2024 syllabus. It has lost nearly two chapters from physics and maths, as well as roughly eight chapters from chemistry. This was done after the NTA received submissions from several stakeholders requesting that specific elements of the existing Paper 1 (BE / BTech) syllabus be deleted because they were not being taught in their Class 12 board.
