TIPS & TRICKS
1. Go through the Syllabus At Least Once: You should go through the JEE syllabus at least once when you are starting your preparation for the exam. This is a good study exercise and it will help you gain a lot of valuable insights about the JEE Main and JEE Advanced course objectives, important topics, exam patterns, and other details.
2. Make Notes: Do not forget to make short notes of whatever you study. They come in handy at the time of a quick revision and also help you memorize important things. There are some high-yielding topics that were a part of the previous JEE- MAINS examinations. Make more than one note for the preparation of JEE-MAINS, you can make notes in two forms one complete written note, and the other in the form of pictures and charts to understand formulae. Thus, you should have crystal clear concepts & deep knowledge about all the chapters.
3. Make a Time table: Making a timetable will not only help you manage your time and finish the syllabus in time but also keep you disciplined. This way, you will have to finish certain topics by a fixed deadline and won’t get overwhelmed by the vastness of the syllabus. You need to include test-day in your timetable for practice so that you do not leave any question blank.
4. Solve Sample Papers/ Mock Tests/ Practice Papers/ Previous Years’ Question Papers: Solving them helps you in finding out where you are standing from the preparation point of view. It also helps you catch your weak spot and then you can work on it accordingly. It helps you with time management so that you don't leave any question blank. It is advisable to attempt a mini Mock Test on a daily basis to be thorough with the topic. Solving previous year papers of at least the last 5 years and Sample Papers for JEE MAIN will help you in assessing your speed and will turn out to be a revision for you as well. Our Previous Year and Sample Papers Section contains all the previous year's papers and sample papers.
5. Thorough Study: Study the topics/ subjects thoroughly. Do not skip any unit or chapter. You never know which topic may get asked in the paper. Topics with high weightage require multiple revisions. You need to study the topics with high-weightage first so as to avoid the last-minute hassle.
6. Seek advice from a mentor:- Preparing for JEE MAINS at home without coaching is not going be to be easy. You need a guide or a mentor to help you move in the right direction. Seek help from an old college professor or a senior, anyone who knows what JEE-MAINS is about. It is advisable to do a digital study through the best teachers and educators for JEE MAIN Our Video Section will allow you to prepare each and every topic in detail by the best educators.
7. Maintain a High Confidence Level: Having a high confidence level actually helps students perform better than those having the same knowledge base but less confidence. Start your exam by keeping your morale high and maintaining it all through the exam. If you have a bad start do not let this affect you. Keep in mind, whatever problems you are facing are being faced by others as well. If you are able to maintain your composure and follow-through, then you actually have an edge over others.
8. Important books: It’s very important to gather the best study materials that can help the candidates with the preparation. There are loads of books in the market for the JEE-MAINS exam. Always buy books which are written in simple language for better understanding.
