MHT CET EXAMINATION 2025: LATEST UPDATE
The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra has released the exam schedule for MHT CET 2025 on its official website. MHT CET 2025 exam date for PCB is April 09 to 17, 2025. MHT CET 2025 exam date for PCM is April 19 to 27, 2025. MHT CET 2025 application form last date is February 15, 2025.
OVERVIEW
The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test, popularly known as MHT CET, is the entrance exam conducted to shortlist candidates for admission to undergraduate Engineering and Pharmacy courses in various colleges of Maharashtra. The exam is conducted every year by the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell. There are more than 400 institutes in Maharashtra which accept MHT CET scores for admission to their various Engineering and Pharmacy courses. Candidates belonging to Maharashtra as well as from the other states of India can apply for the MHT CET exam.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Nationality
1- The Candidate should be an Indian National.
2- Candidate must be domiciled in Maharashtra.
Age Limit
There is no age limit for admission and appearing to MHT-CET.
Educational Qualification
All the candidates who have passed/ appearing at the qualifying examination, i.e. HSC/12th Standard examination or its equivalent examination and having Indian Nationality are eligible for appearing for MHT-CET.
Candidature Type -
Maharashtra State Candidate - A Candidate can claim only one type of Maharashtra State Candidature Type i.e. from Type A to E.

Type | Eligibility Criterion |
Type-A | (i) Candidates passing SSC and also HSC or Diploma in Engineering or Bachelor of Science Examination from a recognized institution in Maharashtra State; (ii) A candidate who is either a Domicile of Maharashtra and/ or is born in Maharashtra |
Type-A | Domicile/Birth/Leaving certificate of candidate indicating place of Birth in the State of Maharashtra. |
Type-B | Domicile certificate of candidate/father/mother of candidate indicating that he/she is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra.Candidate who does not fall in Type-A above, but who or whose Father or Mother is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra and possesses a Domicile Certificate. |
Type-C | A Candidate who does not fall in either Type-A or Type-B but whose Father or Mother is an employee of the Government of India or Government of India Undertaking and who has been posted and reported to duty in Maharashtra State before the last date for submission of Application Form for CAP. |
Type-D | A Candidate who does not fall in any of the above Type-A, Type B and Type-C but whose Father or Mother is an employee or retired employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking. |
Type-E | Candidates passing SSC and/or HSC Examination from a recognized institution located in a Maharashtra-Karnataka Border Area and whose Mother tongue is Marathi. The 865 village of Maharashtra, the Karnataka Border area, notified by the State Government for this purpose shall be considered. |
EXAM PATTERN
MHT CET Examination will be held in an online mode (Computer Based Test) for PCM and PCB groups separately. The question paper will contain a total of 150 Questions for the PCM group and a total of 200 Questions for the PCB group. The total mark is 200 for both groups. In mathematics 2 marks for each question. And each subject one mark. The total duration of the examination will be 180 Minutes.

1. Whole Syllabus of Std XII of 2024 - 25 of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics subjects prescribed by State Council of Educational Research and Training, Maharashtra.

APPLICATION PROCESS
The application form is available only in online mode on the MHT CET official website. Candidates interested in applying for MHT CET need to fill out the application form within the specified dates.

Steps To Fill Online Application Form
1- Registration: In the first step, candidates will have to first register for MHT CET on its official website. For registration, candidates will have to verify their mobile number and email ID by entering the OTP. After verification, candidates were required to enter their name, Father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, gender, along with creating a username and password.
2- Filling application form: After successful registration, candidates will have to log in to the candidate portal with the username and password created during MHT CET registration. After successful login, candidates are required to fill in the personal, educational, and communication details of the application form.
3- Uploading Scanned Images: In this step, candidates will have to upload the scanned images of their photograph, signature, and PDF file of their photo ID proof as per the specifications provided by the authorities.

5- Print of Application Form: Finally, candidates were advised to take a print of the filled MHT CET application form.
ADMIT CARD
Step 1: Log on to the MHTCET official website
Step 2: Click on MHT CET admit card download link.
Step 3: Login using your MHT CET Application number and date of birth.
Step 4: Click on the 'Submit' button.
Step 5: Your MHCET hall ticket will be displayed on the screen.
Step 6: Download the same and take a printout for all future references.
RESULT
Step 1: Visit the MHT CET official website
Step 2: Click on the link to the MHT CET result.
Step 3: Candidates must enter their application number and date of birth.
Step 4: Also, enter the captcha code and log in.
Step 5: The MHT CET result appears on the screen.
Step 6: Candidates may check all the details carefully and download the same.
COUNSELLING PROCESS
After announcing the MHT CET result, the authorities conduct online MHT CET counseling for qualified candidates. Candidates have to participate in the counseling process to be considered for admission based on MHT CET results.
