Qualification

Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Earth Sciences, Water Resources Engineering, Hydrology or a closely related field. Candidates who have submitted their doctoral thesis may also apply, subject to institute rules. Minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade from graduation onwards and 55% marks or equivalent grade in Class 10th and 12th are required. Candidates must have research experience in at least two relevant areas, including AI/ML applications in hydrology, physics-based or physics-guided data-driven modelling, remote sensing/GIS/surveying for natural disasters, or mathematical/hydrological modelling of water systems. Experience in numerical modelling, scientific programming and peer-reviewed publications is required.
