General Instructions:

1. Before applying for the post, the applicant should ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility and other criteria mentioned above for the post as on the date specified and that the details furnished by him/her are correct in all respects.

2. Candidates belonging to reserved categories, including those for whom no reservation has been mentioned, are free to apply against the vacancies declared for General category, provided they fulfil all the eligibility conditions applicable to General category.

3. If it is found at any stage of recruitment that an applicant does not fulfil the eligibility criteria and/or has furnished any incorrect/false information or has suppressed any material facts, his/her candidature will be cancelled. If any of these deficiencies are detected even after appointment, his/her contract is liable to be terminated.

4. The applicant should ensure that the application is in the prescribed format and is properly filled in.

5. Appointment of the selected candidate is subject to his/her being declared medically fit as per the requirement of the Bank. Such appointment will also be subject to the Bank's Service and Conduct Rules for such post in the Bank, as applicable at the time of joining the Bank.

6. Candidates are advised to keep their e-mail ID active for receiving communications such as call letters/interview date intimation etc.

7. The Bank takes no responsibility for delay in receipt or loss of any communication.

8. Candidates from Government/Semi-Government offices, Public Sector Undertakings including Nationalized Banks and Financial Institutions and SBI Group Companies are advised to produce 'No Objection Certificate' from their employer at the time of interview. In default of which their candidature will not be considered and travelling expenses, if any, otherwise payable will not be reimbursed.

9. In the event of selection, candidates will have to produce proper discharge certificate from the employer at the time of appointment.

10. Candidates are advised in their own interest to apply online well before the closing date and not to wait till the closing date to avoid the possibility of inability/disconnection/failure to log on to the website due to heavy load on the internet or website congestion. SBI takes no responsibility for candidates not being able to submit their applications by the closing date due to the above reasons or for any other reason beyond the control of SBI.

11. The Bank's decision in all matters relating to eligibility, interview, other tests and selection will be final and binding on all candidates. No representation or correspondence will be entertained by the Bank in this regard.

12. If the information furnished in the application is found to be incorrect at a later stage, the applicant will be liable to face civil/criminal action.

13. Mere fulfillment of the eligibility criteria does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. The Bank reserves the right to call only the required number of candidates for interview after preliminary scrutiny/shortlisting on the basis of candidate's qualification, suitability, experience etc.

14. In case of multiple applications, only the last valid (completed) application will be retained, application fee/intimation charges paid for other registrations will be forfeited.

15. Any legal proceedings in respect of any claim or dispute arising out of this advertisement and/or any application made in response thereto can be instituted only in Mumbai and the Courts/Tribunals/Forums at Mumbai only will have the sole and exclusive jurisdiction to try any cause/dispute.

16. Outstation candidates who may be called for interview after selection will be reimbursed air fare (economy class) by the shortest route within India or actual travel cost within India (whichever is lower) based on the actual journey undertaken. Expenses/fare of local transport such as taxi/cab/personal vehicle will not be paid. If a candidate is found ineligible for the post, he/she will not be allowed to attend the interview and no fare will be reimbursed to him/her.

17. The Bank reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process either entirely or for a particular post at any stage.

18. At the time of interview, the candidate will have to provide details about criminal cases pending against him/her, if any. The Bank may inter-alia carry out independent verification, including verification of police records etc. The Bank reserves the right to refuse appointment on the basis of such disclosure and/or independent verification.
