For any other information, visit the official site. General Instructions: 1. Defective and incomplete applications and those with wrong or false information will summarily be rejected. 2. The applications received after the last date as prescribed above shall not be considered and no correspondence in this respect shall be entertained. 3. The application duly signed by the candidate shall only be entertained. 4. The candidates are advised to fill in the prescribed application form completely in typewritten form. A response to every item in the application form must be given, if the information is “Nil” or “Not applicable”, the same may be indicated accordingly. 5. The application form shall be rejected and no communication in this regard shall be made in case; a) the candidate does not possess essential academic qualifications b) the candidate exceeds the maximum age limit prescribed for the post c) self-attested copies of essential documents and certificates such as qualifications, experience, age etc. are not enclosed. 6. The candidate must enclose photocopies of all the relevant documents. 7. The appointment as “Assistant Professor” on whole-time basis with consolidated pay is purely temporary and for not more than eleven months or till the post is filled-in on regular basis, whichever is earlier. 8. The consolidated pay on whole-time basis for the Assistant Professor has been fixed as: Rs. 57,700/- per month 9. Mere possession of eligibility doesn’t impart any right to a candidate for being called for appointment. 10. If disproportionally large numbers of applications are received, the selection committee will adopt a suitable criterion (based on the score cared) to short list the candidates. Placement of the selected candidates to Veterinary colleges is solely at the discretion of the administration. 11. Candidates with working knowledge of Tamil are desirable. 12. Fraud information shall disqualify the candidature and shall be liable for punishment. If at any time after appointment, it is found that the candidate has submitted false information, document, his / her appointment shall be terminated without prior intimation / notice. 13. Candidate must furnish the detailed information regarding suspension, removal from previous service or any criminal prosecution against him / her or nature of punishment ordered thereof, if any. 14. Documents / Certificates issued by the competent authority shall only be considered. 15. The candidate should be physically and mentally fit for appointment as “Assistant Professor” on whole-time basis with consolidated pay and need to submit a certificate in this regard from the Medical Officer at the time of appointment. 16. The candidate appointed as “Assistant Professor” on whole-time basis with consolidated pay cannot claim for permanency in the University services. 17. The candidate selected as “Assistant Professor” on whole-time basis with consolidated pay have to furnish a bond / undertaking on stamp paper of Rs.100/- while joining, to the Registrar, TANUVAS, Chennai stating that he / she shall not claim the permanency in the University service in future. 18. The candidate appointed as “Assistant Professor” on whole-time basis with consolidated pay shall have to perform the duties assigned by the Head of the Department / Dean of the college from time to time. 19. “Assistant Professor” on whole-time basis with consolidated pay are not eligible for any kind leave other than Casual Leave i.e. one day per calendar month on completion of every month. 20. The candidates shall have to appear for the interview before the Selection Committee, at his / her own cost, along with all the original certificates / documents. No TA/DA will be provide. 21. Candidates should appear personally for interview on the appointed day without absenting themselves. Interview time and date will not be modified whatsoever the reason may be. There is no other means of interview other than personal appearance before the committee. 22. Any attempt by the candidate, either directly or indirectly to influence the selection committee or other authorities of the University will disqualify the candidate for the post(s) applied. 23.
