General Instructions:

1. Candidates can apply for one post only.

2. In case of candidates submitting multiple applications, the last application shall be considered as final for consideration of candidature.

3. Engagement is purely temporary, on contract basis, and can be terminated at any time by giving one month notice, by either side.

4. Engagement on contract would be subject to medical fitness.

5. No claim for regular employment in ONGC, by virtue of this contractual engagement, shall be entertained at any stage.

6. Selected candidates will be paid consolidated monthly remuneration as mentioned above.

7. On successful completion of one year period, an annual increase for Rs.1,500/- may be considered for Contract Medical Officer- Field Duty (FMO) and Contract Medical Officer-General Duty (GDMO).

8. Contract Medical Officer-Field Duty are eligible for payment of two way air fare in economy class in shortest route from family/operating station to work centre. Doctors posted at Offshore are eligible for free boarding and lodging while on duty at Offshore. This is in addition to remuneration.

9. Twelve days casual leave will be granted in a calendar year on a pro-rata basis to GDMOs. One casual leave will be allowed for a month. Doctors performing duty on 14 days On/Off pattern will not allowed any leave except National holidays. Maternity leave will be granted as per Maternity Benefit Amendment Act to the female doctors subject to fulfillment of eligibility conditions laid down in the Act.

10. Selected candidates shall be required to sign a contract agreement as per the terms and conditions of ONGC.

11. SC/ST/OBC/EWS reservation is provided as per government guidelines.

12. Contract tenure will commence from the date of joining.

13. The contract shall end on expiry of the prescribed period and no separate notice shall be required to be given.

14. Candidature/contract of candidate(s) submitting false certificates or suppression/ submission of incorrect information shall be liable for termination / disqualification / rejection at any stage.

15. Only Indian nationals need to apply.

16. No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the interview.

17. Interested candidates fulfilling the above conditions will have to appear for an interview either face to face or through video conferencing (to be decided by ONGC). Candidates shall be intimated the date and time of interview through SMS/E-mail
