AIAPGET EXAM

All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) is an All India ranking exam for qualifying admission to Post Graduate AYUSH (Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani and Siddha) courses. National Testing Agency (NTA), an autonomous body conducts the AIAPGET exam.

AIAPGET EXAM PATTERN

The AIAPGE entrance exam will be conducted in Online mode (Computer- Based Test). The duration of this entrance exam is 2 hours in the examination. The multiple-choice questions asked will be asked in the examination of the AIAPGET.

AIAPGET: MODE OF EXAMINATION

AIAPGET Examination will be held as an Online Computer Based Test. Questions will be Multiple Choice Questions with single correct best response.

AIAPGET: MEDIUM OF EXAMINATION

The exam paper for AIAPGET Examination will be in

1- Ayurveda- English and Hindi

2- Unani- English and Urdu

3- Siddha- English and Tamil

4- Homeopathy- English only

AIAPGET: MARKING SCHEME

1- Maximum marks are 480 and each correct answer earns 4 marks.

2- Negative marking will be applicable in AIAPGET. For each wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted.

3- Marks would neither be awarded nor deducted for unattempted questions.

4- Total marks scored by a candidate = (4 x Total number of correct answers) – Total number of incorrect answers.

5- In case a Question is dropped due to some technical error, full marks shall be given to all the candidates irrespective of the fact who have attempted it or not.

All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) is a single entrance test for admission to the AYUSH PG courses in India. The eligibility criteria for AIAPGET has been set by the CCIM/CCH/ CCRUM/CCRS. Those applying for this examination must check the AIAPGET eligibility criteria before filling the application forms. If the candidate is found to be ineligible during the admission process, their candidature will be forfeited. The candidate’s eligibility for AIAPGET Examination is based on the fulfilment of the following conditions:-

1- Nationality

2- Age Limit & Attempt Limit

3- Educational Qualifications

AIAPGET EXAM: NATIONALITY

Only Indian candidates can apply for the exam.

AIAPGET EXAM: AGE LIMIT & ATTEMPT LIMIT

According to the AIAPGET eligibility criteria, there is no age limit for the candidates applying for this examination. Also, there is no cap on the number of attempts permitted for admission to PG AYUSH courses.

Reservations

1. In the case of Institutes run by the Central Government, the reservation would be applicable as mentioned below:

i- 15% of the seats Scheduled Castes (SC) candidates.
ii- 7.5% seats for Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates.
iii- 27% seats for Other Backward Classes (OBC) Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) candidates as per the Central List*
iv- 10% of the seats for General Economically Weaker Sections (General - EWS) candidates.
v- Persons with Disability (PwD) with 40% or more disability.

2. Each category will have 5% reservations for the candidates with 40% or more disability as defined in Section 2 (r) and (zc) of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act, 2016.

3. In the case of the Institutes run/aided/recognized by State Governments, the reservation policy of the respective State Governments shall be applicable.

NOTE . *Other Backward Classes - Non-Creamy Layer (OBC–NCL) are as per the Central list of Other Backward Classes available on National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC), Government of India website www.ncbc.nic.in Thus, the candidates falling in this list may mention OBC in the Category Column. State list OBC Candidates who are not in OBC-NCL (Central List) must choose General.

AIAPGET EXAM: EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

1- Candidates in possession of BAMS/ BUMS/ BSMS/ BHMS/Graded BHMS degree or Provisional BAMS/ BUMS/ BSMS/ BHMS Pass Certificate recognized as per the provisions of the IMCC 1970/HCC 1973 Act and possess permanent or provisional registration certificate of BAMS/ BUMS/ BSMS/ BHMS/Graded BHMS degree qualification issued by the CCIM/CCH/State Board/Universities/Deemed Universities and have completed one year of internship or/are likely to complete the internship as per the CCIM/AYUSH notification, may apply for AIAPGET through Online Application Registration system at website www.ntaaiapget.nic.in.

2- Requests for appearing in AIAPGET from candidates completing internship after the notified date or having qualifications that are not recognized by the competent authority shall be summarily rejected. Candidates are further advised not to canvass for the same.

3- The dates indicated by candidates in regard to 12 months Compulsory Rotating Internship i.e. starting date, completion date, shall be treated as final and candidates will be required to submit the original Compulsory Rotating Internship completion certificate at the time of counselling.

4- Some of the Universities/Institutions with regulations that candidates who are already pursuing any PG Course in their University or in another University are not eligible for admission till they complete the course. The candidates who are already pursuing PG Courses either through All India Quota or State Quota and are applying for a seat under All India Quota/State quota seats may confirm the eligibility conditions of that University in this regard. NTA/MoA/AIIA shall not be responsible if such candidates are refused admission. Such candidates may opt for the subject and the college at their own risk and cost. The eligibility criteria will be as per CCIM/CCH regulations and notifications of Ministry of AYUSH, Govt of India.

Eligibility Criteria For PwD Candidates

Candidates who wish to apply under the PwD category must also fulfil the general AIAPGET eligibility criteria stated above. Apart from these, they must also be in compliance with the following definition, “A person with benchmark disability, as defined in Section 2 (r) of the RPwD Act, means a person with not less than 40 percent of a specified disability where specified disability has not been defined in measurable terms and includes a person with disability where specified disability has been defined in measurable terms, as certified by the certifying authority”.

A specified disability, as defined in Section 2 (zc) of the RPwD Act, means the disabilities as specified in the Schedule of the said Act, which includes:

1- Mental illness

2- Speech and Language Disability

3- Visual Impairment: Blindness and Low Vision

4- Hearing Impairment: Deaf and Hard of Hearing

5- Blood Disorder: Haemophilia, Thalassemia, Sickle Cell Diseases

6- Chronic Neurological Conditions: Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Diseases

7- Multiple Disabilities: more than one of the specified disabilities including Deaf-Blindness

8- Locomotor Disabilities: Leprosy, Cerebral Palsy, Dwarfism, Muscular Dystrophy, Acid Attack Victims

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been conducting the All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) since 2019, on behalf of Ministry of AYUSH with the approval of the Ministry of Education.

AIAPGET EXAMINATION: TIPS & TRICKS

Mentioned below are some preparation tips that will help you with the process. 

1- Know Your Syllabus :- The most basic thing to begin your AIAPGET preparation is to become well aware of the topics covered in the exam syllabus. Go through all the topics carefully and figure out which ones are the toughest to complete. But, make sure to skip no topic.

2- Know the Exam Pattern :- The next thing you must get yourself aware of is AIAPGET exam pattern. Understanding the exam pattern helps you know factors like the duration of time available to complete the paper, total number of questions, marking scheme, different sections, etc. These factors help you in time management. 

3- Learn to Manage Time :- Once you are aware of the exam pattern, you can strategise time management for when you will be appearing in the exam. You must plan how much time each section or question needs and then distribute your time accordingly. Understanding the exam syllabus and the difficulty level of different topics will help you know how much time does each topic needs during the preparation. For instance, if you find a topic very difficult to prepare, you can allocate more time to its preparation than to a topic that is easier. 

4- Make a Time Table :- Now that you have learned about time management, exam syllabus and pattern, it is time to make a preparation plan or time table. One thing that you must be aware of while making a time table is that do not forget to give some time to recreational activities. Candidates who qualify for the examination scoring the minimum cut off percentile can opt for MS, MD, or PG diploma courses in the above-mentioned disciplines. Admission for MS, MD, or PG diploma courses in Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy is given on the basis of merit. Those who qualify AIAPGET will be asked for counselling round which is conducted by AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC).

AIAPGET EXAM APPLICATION PROCESS

The application process is online, Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria can fill out the application form. The application process involves several steps, such as registering, completing the application form, uploading the required documents, paying the fee, and final submission. Candidates only need to fill out the application form with correct details, otherwise, you are responsible for rejection.

STEPS TO FILL AIAPGET EXAM ONLINE APPLICATION FORM

1. Online Registration: For the online registration, the candidates have to enter the basic details to create the login ID and password on the official website of NTA. The registration of AIAPGET will require the basic details of the candidate such as Name, e-mail ID, mobile number. 

2. Fill the application form: After registration, log in with the same registration number and fill up the application form, with the basic details as the candidate’s name, educational qualifications, communication details, personal details, etc. 

3. Upload the Documents: The scanned sign and photo are uploaded after completing the application form of AIAPGET online. The documents should be uploaded as per the specified format given below:

National Testing Agency (NTA) has not released an official notification for AIAPGET yet. As per some sources AIAPGET 2023 is expected to take place in August.

AIAPGET EXAM

All India AYUSH Postgraduate Entrance Test, commonly known as AIAPGET, is conducted for admissions to the postgraduate courses in Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been conducting All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) since 2019, on behalf of Ministry of AYUSH with the approval of the Ministry of Education.

It is conducted annually in a computer-based mode. Candidates who qualify for the examination scoring the minimum cut off percentile can opt for MS, MD, or PG diploma courses in the above-mentioned disciplines. Admission for MS, MD, or PG diploma courses in Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy is given on the basis of merit. Those who qualify AIAPGET will be asked for counselling round which is conducted by AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC).

AIAPGET EXAM APPLICATION PROCESS

The application process is online, Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria can fill out the application form. The application process involves several steps, such as registering, completing the application form, uploading the required documents, paying the fee, and final submission. Candidates only need to fill out the application form with correct details, otherwise, you are responsible for rejection.

Candidates must keep the following details/ documents ready while filling AIAPGET EXAM Application Form:

1- Valid Email Id

2- Valid mobile number

3- Address for communication

4- Government ID card (Aadhar Card/ Election Card/ Passport/ Ration Card/ PAN Card)

5- Scanned copy of a recent passport-sized photograph

6- Scanned copy of the signature

7- Credit card/ Debit card/ Net banking / UPI credentials

8- Internship completion date and certificate

9- Category Certificate (If applicable)

4. Review the Application: After completing the form, the candidates must check and review if any information is being submitted wrong by them. In case of wrong information, the candidates can do the correction and submit the AIAPGET application form. 

5. Submit the fees: The fees of AIAPGET will be paid after completing the application form online. To pay the fee online, the candidate will have the option of Net banking / Debit Card / Credit card.

6. Print the Confirmation page: The last step is to take four printouts of the confirmation page, after successful payment of AIAPGET application fees. Candidates must keep this acknowledgment page till the admission process is over.

The candidates can download their AIAPGET admit card in the following manner:

Step 1. Go to the official website.

Step 2. Click on “Download admit card” in the current events section.

Step 3. Enter the following details:

          1- Application number

          2- Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY)

          3- Security pin (Captcha)

Step 4. Click “submit”

Step 5. Check the details on the admit card for errors.

Step 6. Download and print the admit card.

AIAPGET EXAM RESULT

Following are the step to check the AIAPGET result:

Step 1. Go to the official website.

Step 2. Select “Download result” in the current events section.

Step 3. Enter the following details

          1- AIAPGET roll number

          2- Date of birth

          3- Security pin

Step 4. Click “submit”

AIAPGET EXAM COUNSELLING PROCESS

AYUSH Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC) conducts the counselling of AIAPGET for admission to All India Quota seats. AIAPGET counselling is being conducted in online mode on the basis of ranks secured in the entrance exam. The seat allotment of AIAPGET for AIQ seats will be organised in two rounds. During the registration process of AIAPGET counselling, aspirants are required to fill their choices of colleges and courses in which they wish to get admission. Based on these preferences, All India Rank, seats availability, reservation criteria and other factors, admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma under AYUSH courses will be granted.

The counselling for remaining state quota seats under state/UTs/deemed/AYUSH colleges and other institutes will be done by respective counselling committees. The designated admission bodies will use the scores of AIAPGET to prepare state wise rank list for allotment of seats.
