EXAM ANALYSIS
AIAPGET 2025 Exam Analysis – Key Insights
Exam Date & Pattern: AIAPGET 2025 was held on July 4, 2025, as a 2-hour CBT exam with 120 MCQs totaling 480 marks.
Difficulty Level: Most candidates and expert analyses described the paper as moderate to moderately difficult. Questions were balanced between theory and clinical application, and there were no major surprises outside the standard syllabus.
Subject Emphasis (Ayurveda example):
– Kayachikitsa, Rasashastra, Dravyaguna, and Rog Nidana were frequently covered topics.
– Some sections like Shalya and Shalakya Tantra were considered slightly tougher than average.
Candidate Response: A poll after the exam suggested many candidates expected scores below 300 marks, indicating the exam was challenging enough for most test-takers.
AIAPGET 2025 Cutoffs – Actual Qualifying Marks
NTA released qualifying cutoff marks for each AYUSH stream. These are the minimum marks needed to be declared qualified, not the admission cutoffs which vary by counselling and institute:
Ayurveda (BAMS)
– UR/EWS (50th percentile): minimum ~101 marks
– OBC/SC/ST (40th percentile): ~86 marks
Homeopathy (BHMS)
– UR/EWS: minimum ~112 marks
– OBC/SC/ST: ~96 marks
Siddha (BSMS)
– UR/EWS: minimum ~128 marks
– OBC/SC: ~112 marks
Unani (BUMS)
– UR/EWS: minimum ~119 marks
– OBC/SC/ST: ~103–110 marks
These marks represent qualifying thresholds tied to percentiles; actual admission cutoffs in counselling are usually much higher.
Seat & Rank Cutoff Trends (2025)
Admission cutoffs (round-wise) vary by college and specialization. For example, at National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA), Jaipur in 2025:
– MD Panchakarma closed around rank 18 (very competitive), and other MD branches ranged up to around rank 317 and beyond in later rounds.
State counselling results also show typical cutoffs for Ayurveda courses where closing ranks might range from mid-hundreds to couple of thousands depending on category and round.
Expected Cutoffs for AIAPGET 2026 (Based on 2025 Trends)
Minimum Qualifying Cutoffs: These will likely remain tied to percentiles:
– UR/EWS: 50th percentile
– OBC/SC/ST: 40th percentile
– UR/EWS-PwD: 45th percentile
These always remain consistent unless NTA revises criteria.
Admission Score Expectations for 2026: Based on expert predictions and cutoff trends:
– For strong chances at government/central institutes, candidates should aim for approximately 330+ marks out of 480 in Ayurveda/Homeopathy.
– For state colleges or non-stipend options, slightly lower (but competitive) marks in the 300–320 range may still provide good chances.
– Reserved category cutoffs for seats in good colleges generally trend lower than general but competitive: e.g., SC ~260+, ST ~230+ marks for general admissions.
Why these expectations?
Difficulty level and performance distribution from 2025 indicated that many fell below 300, so achieving above average marks correlated with higher ranks and better seat chances.
Expert safe-score guides suggest aiming for 85–90 correct answers (approx. 340–360 marks) to secure top seats.

STUDY TIPS
The most basic thing to begin your AIAPGET preparation is to become well aware of the topics covered in the exam syllabus. Go through all the topics carefully and figure out which ones are the toughest to complete. But, make sure to skip no topic.
Understand the Complete Syllabus
First, go through the full AIAPGET syllabus of your system (Ayurveda/Homeopathy/Unani/Siddha). Focus mainly on UG-level core subjects because questions are based on bachelor studies.
Make a Subject Priority List
Some subjects carry more weight every year, so start with high-scoring subjects like:
Medicine and Diagnosis
Samhita / Organon
Dravyaguna / Materia Medica
Pathology and Practice Subjects
Study Standard UG Books Only
AIAPGET questions are mostly conceptual and clinical. Revise from your main UG textbooks instead of too many extra sources.
Focus on Previous Year Question Papers
Solve last 5–10 years AIAPGET papers to understand:
Question pattern
Frequently repeated topics
Difficulty level
Practice MCQs Daily
AIAPGET is MCQ-based, so daily practice is necessary. Try solving at least:
100 MCQs per day in the final months
Make Short Notes for Revision
Prepare short notes of:
Important definitions
Drugs and formulations
Diseases and management
Key clinical points
Revise Multiple Times
One-time study is not enough. Revision should be done at least:
3 to 4 times before exam
Take Mock Tests Regularly
Mock tests improve speed and accuracy. Attempt:

Time Management During Exam
Do not spend too much time on one question. Maintain balance between speed and accuracy because negative marking is present.

STUDY TIPS
The most basic thing to begin your AIAPGET preparation is to become well aware of the topics covered in the exam syllabus. Go through all the topics carefully and figure out which ones are the toughest to complete. But, make sure to skip no topic.
Understand the Complete Syllabus
First, go through the full AIAPGET syllabus of your system (Ayurveda/Homeopathy/Unani/Siddha). Focus mainly on UG-level core subjects because questions are based on bachelor studies.
Make a Subject Priority List
Some subjects carry more weight every year, so start with high-scoring subjects like:
Medicine and Diagnosis
Samhita / Organon
Dravyaguna / Materia Medica
Pathology and Practice Subjects
Study Standard UG Books Only
AIAPGET questions are mostly conceptual and clinical. Revise from your main UG textbooks instead of too many extra sources.
Focus on Previous Year Question Papers
Solve last 5–10 years AIAPGET papers to understand:
Question pattern
Frequently repeated topics
Difficulty level
Practice MCQs Daily
AIAPGET is MCQ-based, so daily practice is necessary. Try solving at least:
100 MCQs per day in the final months
Make Short Notes for Revision
Prepare short notes of:
Important definitions
Drugs and formulations
Diseases and management
Key clinical points
Revise Multiple Times
One-time study is not enough. Revision should be done at least:
3 to 4 times before exam
Take Mock Tests Regularly
Mock tests improve speed and accuracy. Attempt:
1 mock per week initially
2–3 mocks per week in final month
Time Management During Exam
Do not spend too much time on one question. Maintain balance between speed and accuracy because negative marking is present.
Stay Consistent and Healthy
Regular study with proper sleep, healthy food, and stress control is essential for long-term preparation.
