MODE OF EXAMINATION

TANCET MCA Examination will be held as an Offline Pen and Paper Based Test. Questions will be Objective type Multiple choice in nature.

MEDIUM OF EXAMINATION

The exam paper for TANCET MCA Examination will be in English language Only.

MARKING SCHEME

1. There will be four alternatives, out of which candidates need to choose one correct answer.

2. For every correct answer, candidates will score 1 mark.

3. For each wrong answer, 1/4 marks will be deducted.

4. If any candidate selects multiple options as the answer, it will be treated as the wrong answer and 1/4 mark will be deducted for this.

5. No marks will be deducted for the questions left unanswered.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Candidates willing to apply for TANCET MCA Examination are required to fulfill certain conditions to be eligible for it. The candidate who does not satisfy the Eligibility criteria like Age, Minimum educational qualification, etc., their candidature shall be rejected by the authorities. The candidate’s eligibility for TANCET MCA Examination is based on the fulfilment of the following conditions:-

NATIONALITY

1. Applicants who want to appear in TANCET Exam to pursue a PG program in any field must have a status of Indian Citizenship.

2. Applicants residing in another state should present identity proof as to the most important documents before sitting for the entrance examination.

3. Applicants residing outside of the country are also eligible to apply for this entrance test. In that case, applicants need to present an NRI certificate to apply for the exam. 

4. For NRI seats, candidates of Indian citizens or overseas citizens of India, or Persons of Indian Origin can apply.

AGE LIMIT & RELAXATIONS

As per the eligibility criteria, there is no age bar to apply for the entrance test.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

A pass in a recognised Bachelor's Degree of minimum 3 years duration in B.C.A. or B.Sc. (Information Technology / Computer Science or equivalent), or a pass in a recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration (in disciplines other than the ones mentioned above) with Mathematics at 10 + 2 level or at Graduation Level and obtained at least 50 % (45% in the case of BC, BCM, MBC, SC, SCA and ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu) in the qualifying degree examinations.

Aeronautical Society of India, etc., recognised by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India and enrolled before 31.5.2013 are considered to be equivalent to B.E. / B.Tech. Degree holders, only with 2 years regular full time experience in the relevant field after successful completion of the course including project work. An experience certificate shall be produced by the candidates.

+ Candidates who have qualified as AIIA (Associateship Examination of the Indian Institute of Architects) with a valid registration with the Council of Architecture are eligible.

Preparation Plan for 3 Months

Candidates who are appearing for the TANCET MCA exam will surely be able to ace the exam in 3 months with a good preparation strategy. They should go through the syllabus of TANCET and note all the important topics of the exam. After that, they should take all the topics one by one and start practising moderate to difficult level questions from that topic. 1. Clear your concepts and basics :- The first step of any exam preparation is to have conceptual clarity. Unless the basics are clear, no amount of mock test or rote learning will come handy during the test. Practice formula, vocabulary, rules of grammar regularly. If you have brushed up your basics, it will be easier for you to solve any question. Make sure that you practice all the important topics for the exam as per TANCET syllabus.

2. Know your strength and weaknesses : - The better way to analyse your strength and weaknesses is to attempt the mock tests. It will help to find out the areas/topics within a section that are your strengths, and the ones are your weaknesses. Accordingly, you will be able to plan out a strategy for improving the weak areas.

3. Take mock tests :- Take as many mock tests you can, as it will give an idea about the actual test. Also, do not forget to analyse your performance after every mock test. This will help you in measuring your TANCET preparation level. Along with taking mock tests, it is equally important to analyse the mock tests to identify the areas which need improvement and the reason for answering wrong. There are primarily two reasons, lack of conceptual clarity and silly mistakes. If it is the former, you have to go back to the basics. If it is the latter, practice is the only way out. 

4. Practice Question/Sample Papers :- Practice Papers/Sample Papers serve as the best resource for TANCET preparation 2022. Therefore, solve TANCET question/sample papers regularly because the concepts and types of questions are repeated sometimes in the exam. COUNSELLING PROCEDURE

Anna University will conduct TANCET MCA counselling after the declaration of result. Candidates who meet the required TANCET MCA cutoff will have to participate for the further round of TANCET counselling process. Those who will be able to secure their name in the TANCET Merit list will be eligible to participate in the counselling process. To participate in the TANCET MCA counselling process, candidates will have register for the same by visiting the official website.

The application process is online, Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria can fill out the application form. The application process involves several steps, such as registering, completing the application form, uploading the required documents, paying the fee, and final submission. Candidates only need to fill out the application form with correct details, otherwise, you are responsible for rejection.

Steps to Fill Online Application Form

Step 2: Now select the option of TANCET online registration and you will be redirected to the registration page .

Step 3: Enter your basic details as email ID, mobile number, name and proceed to create your registration ID by verifying the details.

Step 4: Now login with the same ID password to fill the application form online .

Step 5: In the given tabs enter your personal, academic, correspondence details and the name of the exam centre as per your preference.

Step 6: After that enter the choice of course in which you want to take admission as M.Tech, M.Arch, MBA, M. Plan., MCA.

Step 7: Now submit the form and proceed to upload the required documents.

Step 8: Review all the details and submit the fee through Net Banking /Debit Card /Credit card.
