Staff Selection Commission conducts the SSC MTS exam to recruit General Central Service Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in various Central Government Ministries / Departments / Offices, in different States/ Union Territories. SSC MTS is a great opportunity for the 10th pass candidates to get a government job in India.
EXAM PATTERN
The Examination shall be held as an Online Computer Based Test. The Examination will be divided into 2 Sections each carrying 20 Questions and 60 Marks. Total time duration for the examination is 45 minutes.

The candidate who does not satisfy the Eligibility criteria like Age, Minimum educational qualification etc., their candidature shall be rejected by the authorities. The criteria for eligibility SSC MTS are decided by the conduction body itself.
The candidate’s eligibility for SSC MTS and Havaldar Examination is based on the fulfilment of the following conditions :-
1. Nationality
2. Age Limit & Relaxations
3. Educational Qualifications
4. Reservation of Seats
NATIONALITY
A candidate must be either :
1. A Citizen of India or
2. A subject of Nepal or
3. A subject of Bhutan or

1- SSC MTS Registration

STEP 2: Register yourself with a valid email ID. Only a single application form will be accepted from each state/union territory by a candidate.
STEP 3: Fill up the necessary details in the application form correctly.

SSC MTS Section I 2023: Who Can Apply
Nationality/ Citizenship
A candidate must be either :
1. A Citizen of India or
2. A subject of Nepal or
3. A subject of Bhutan or
4. A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
5. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
Note:- Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (2), (3), (4) and (5) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
Age limit:
The age limits for the posts as per the Recruitment Rules of various User Departments are:
18-25 years (i.e. candidates born not before 02.01.1998 and not later than 01.01.2005) for MTS and Havaldar in CBN (Department of Revenue).
18-27 years (i.e. candidates born not before 02.01.1996 and not later than 01.01.2005) for Havaldar in CBIC (Department of Revenue) and few posts of MTS.

Education Qualification

3. Candidates who have not yet acquired but will be acquiring the educational qualification and provide documentary evidence from the Board in support thereof are also eligible.

SSC MTS Section I 2023: How Can Apply
The application process is online. Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria can only fill out the application form. The application process involves several steps, such as registering, completing the application form, uploading the required documents, paying the fee,and submission.The training center information comes on mail.The application process requires all the formalities which are mandatory.
1. Go to the official website of SSC.
2. In the header click on the "Apply" tab and then click on the "MTS" tab.
3. Now navigate to "Click Here to Apply".
4. A new window will appear to enter the details.
5. Enter the required details and then submit.
6. You will receive the registration number and password on your registered email ID and phone number.
7. Under SSC login, enter your registration ID and password.
8. Fill the details carefully and upload the scanned documents before submitting the online form of SSC MTS.
9. You will be directed to a new webpage to pay the application fee.

SSC MTS Section I 2023: Admission to Examination Centres
1. Take a printout of the admit card and carry it to the exam hall.
2. They must also carry photo ID proof and two passport-sized photographs.
3. Must reach the exam center much before the exam time; candidates won't be allowed to enter the exam hall after 9.30 am
4. Also, carry the "downloaded admit card and with proforma which is an attachment of Admit Card with Post Card Size Photograph duly affixed on it"
5. Do not carry anything to the exam hall except your admit card and photographs.
6. Pen or Pencil will be provided to candidates at the examination hall.
7. All candidates must wear a face mask at all times inside the exam center.
8. If you are found practicing any unfair means during the exam duration, you will be disqualified from the exam.

SSC MTS Section I 2023: Mode of Selection
1. The recruitment process for the post of MTS will consist of Session-I and Session-II in Computer Based Examination (CBE).
2. The performance of the candidate in Session-I will be evaluated first and performance in Session-II would be evaluated only if a candidate qualifies in Session-I.
3. Minimum qualifying marks in Session-I and as well as in Session-II of Computer Based Examination are as follows:
a. UR : 30%
b. OBC/ EWS : 25%
c. All other categories : 20%
3. The recruitment process for the post of Havaldar will consist of Computer Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST)
4. For the post of MTS, Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in Session-II of CBE. Normalized scores of the candidates will be used to determine merit in CBE. The merit list would be prepared solely based on performance in Session-II.
5. For the post of Havaldar, candidates will be shortlisted in the ratio of 1:5 (vacancies: candidates) for appearing in PET/ PST and on the basis of their performance in Session-II of CBE. Normalized scores of the candidates will be used to determine merit in CBE. The Commission may fix CCA-wise and category-wise cut-offs in Session-II of CBE.
6. The candidates who fail to qualify PET/ PST will not be considered for the post of Havaldar. However, if the candidate is also shortlisted for the post of MTS, his candidature will remain valid for the post of MTS.
7. For the post of MTS, based on the performance in Session-II of CBE, candidates will be considered for final merit list.
8. For the post of Havaldar, based on performance in Session-II of CBE and subject to qualifying in PET/ PST, candidates will be considered for final merit list.
9. Final selection and allocation of Post-cum-States/ UTs/ CCAs will be made on the basis of performance of the candidates in Session-II of CBE, the preference of Post-cum-States/ UTs/ CCAs given by them in 25 the online Application Form and the age-group of the candidates. Normalized scores of the candidates in Session-II will be used to determine merit and the candidates will only be considered against the vacancies of Post-cum-States/ UTs/ CCAs for which they have given their preference in the online Application Form. In the final result, there will be a single select list for all the posts. Once a Post-cumState/ UT/ CCA is allocated, no change will be made by the Commission due to non-fulfillment of any post specific requirements of physical/ medical/ educational standards.
Resolution of Tie Cases:
In cases where more than one candidate secures the equal aggregate marks, tie will be resolved by applying the following methods, one after another, till the tie is resolved:
1. Marks in General Awareness of Session-II.
2. Total marks in Session-I.
3. Date of birth i.e. the candidate older in age gets preference.
4. Alphabetical order of the names.
