Marking Scheme Highlights
1- For each correct answer, 1 Mark will be awarded.
2- There will be negative marking of 0.25 Marks for each wrong answer.
3- No marks will be deducted for the Unattempted Questions.
Normalisation of Marks
The Staff Selection Commission has already decided to normalize the scores of candidates for the examinations which are conducted in multi-shifts to take into account any variation in the difficulty levels of the question papers across different shifts.
The following formula will be used by the Commission to calculate the final score of candidates in the multi-shift examinations:
Minimum Qualifying Marks
Minimum qualifying marks in Paper-I are as follows:
1- UR: 30%
2- OBC/ EWS: 25%
3- Others: 20%

SSC JHT/JT 2023 EXAM
Candidates willing to apply for SSC JHT/JT Examination are required to fulfil certain conditions to be eligible for it. The candidate who does not satisfy the Eligibility criteria like Age, Minimum educational qualification etc., their candidature shall be rejected by the authorities. The criteria for eligibility SSC are decided by the conduction body itself.
The candidate’s eligibility for SSC JHT/JT Examination is based on the fulfilment of the following conditions:
1- Nationality
2- SSC JHT/JT: Age Limit & Relaxations
3- SSC JHT/JT: Educational Qualifications
SSC JHT/JT EXAM: NATIONALITY
1- A Citizen of India or

SSC JHT/JT Paper I 2023: Who Can Apply
Nationality/Citizenship:

The application form comprises two parts: Registration and Filling online application form. Candidates can follow the steps below to fill out the application form:
Part I: SSC JHT/JT Registration
Step 1: For one-time registration, candidates need to click on the ‘Register Now’ link on the SSC website

The Syllabus for the SSC CGL Examination is given below:-
Paper-I (Computer Based Examination): The questions will be designed to test the candidate's? understanding of the languages and literature, correct use of words, phrases and idioms and ability to write the languages correctly, precisely and effectively. The questions will be of degree level.
Paper-II (Translation and Essay): This paper will contain two passages for translation - one passage for translation from Hindi to English and one passage for translation from English to Hindi, and an Essay each in Hindi and English, to test the candidates? translation skills and their ability to write as well as comprehend the two languages correctly, precisely and effectively. The level of the paper will be consistent with the educational qualifications prescribed.

SSC JHT/JT Paper I 2023: Admission to Examination Centres
1. Take a printout of the admit card and carry it to the exam hall.
2. They must also carry photo ID proof and two passport-sized photographs.
3. Must reach the exam center much before the exam time; candidates won't be allowed to enter the exam hall after 9.30 am
4. Also, carry the "downloaded admit card and with proforma which is an attachment of Admit Card with Post Card Size Photograph duly affixed on it"
5. Do not carry anything to the exam hall except your admit card and photographs.
6. Pen or Pencil will be provided to candidates at the examination hall.
7. All candidates must wear a face mask at all times inside the exam center.
8. If you are found practicing any unfair means during the exam duration, you will be disqualified from the exam.

SSC JHT/JT Paper I 2023: Mode of Selection
In order to be recruited for the SSC JHT 2023, the candidates will have to go through the SSC JHT selection process that consists of a written test that includes two papers i.e, Paper-I (Computer Based Test) and Paper-II (Descriptive Test). Those candidates who have qualified in Paper-I will be then shortlisted for Paper-II.
Minimum qualifying marks in Computer Based Examination are as follows:
a. UR: 30%
b. OBC/EWS: 25%
c. All Other Categories: 20%
1. Based on the marks scored in Paper-I: Computer Based Examination, candidates will be shortlisted, category-wise, to appear in Paper-II. If the Computer Based Examination is conducted in multiple shifts, normalized marks will be used to determine merit and for final selection.
2. Based on the performance in Paper-I & Paper-II, candidates will be considered for final selection. There may be separate category-wise cut-offs in Paper-I & Paper-II.
3. Final selection and allocation of Ministry/ Department/Organization will be made on the basis of the performance of candidates in Paper-I & Paper-II and the preference of Post(s)/Department(s) exercised by them.
