STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION COMBINED GRADUATE LEVEL EXAMINATION TIER III EXAMINATION
Only those candidates who have qualified the Tier-II examination of SSC CGL are eligible for Tier- III Examination.
SSC CGL 2020 Tier- III Examination will be held as a Descriptive Type Pen & Paper Based Test, which will contain 100 Marks.

EXAM MODE :-
SSC CGL 2020 Tier- III Examination will be held as a Descriptive Type Pen & Paper Based Test.
EXAM MEDIUM :-
The Paper in Tier-III will have to be written either in Hindi or in English. Part paper written in Hindi and part in English will be awarded zero marks.
In Tier-III, candidates must write their correct Roll Number at the prescribed places on the cover page of the Answer Book. Candidates must also affix signature and Left-hand Thumb Impression in the relevant columns in the Answer Book.
Note :- Answer Books not bearing Roll Number, Signature and Left-hand Thumb Impression shall be awarded zero marks.
Merit list will be prepared on the basis of overall performance of candidates in Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III Examinations. Final selection of candidates, in each category, will be made on the basis of aggregate marks scored by them in ‘Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III examinations’ and ‘preference of posts’ exercised by them.
TIER IV EXAMINATION
Tier-IV of SSC CGL 2020 is based on Skill Test which comprises two parts :-
1. Date Entry Speed Test (DEST)
2. Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)
Date Entry Speed Test (DEST) -
1. For the post of Tax Assistants (Central Excise & Income Tax): Data Entry Speed Test (DEST) at 8,000 (eight thousand) Key Depression per hour on Computer.
2. The “Data Entry Speed Test” Skill Test will be conducted for a passage of about 2000 (two thousand) key depressions for a duration of 15 (fifteen) minutes.
3. PwD candidates who are eligible for scribe will be allowed additional compensatory time of 5 (five) minutes in DEST.
4. This test will be of qualifying nature.
5. Computers for the test will be provided by the Commission at the Centre/ venue notified for the purpose.
6. The Skill test will be conducted in the manner decided by the Commission for the purpose.
Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) -
1. The Commission will hold Computer Proficiency Test (CPT), comprising three modules : (i) Word Processing, (ii) Spread Sheet and (iii) Generation of Slides
For the posts of Assistant Section Officer in CSS, MEA & AFHQ, Assistant in Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Assistant (GSI) in the Ministry of Mines, Inspector (Central Excise), Inspector (Preventive Officer) & Inspector (Examiner) in CBIC.
2. Duration of each module will be 15 minutes. These modules will be conducted one after the other.
3. Module-I will comprise DEST which will be conducted for a passage of about 2000 (two thousand) key depressions.
4. Module-II will comprise preparation of spreadsheet as per the exercise given in the test.
5. Module-III will comprise preparation of Power-Point Presentation as per the exercise given in the test.
6. CPT is qualifying in nature and qualifying in all the three Modules will be mandatory.
7. No exemption from CPT is allowed for any category of PwD candidates.
8. PwD candidates who are eligible for scribe will be allowed additional compensatory time of 5 (five) minutes in CPT.
9. The CPT will be conducted in the manner decided by the Commission for the purpose.
SSC CGL: DOCUMENT VERIFICATION (DV)
Candidates who qualify the Tier- IV of the examination are called for the Document Verification Process.
1. All the candidates qualified for Document Verification are required to appear for Document Verification along with the photocopies and original documents.
2. Detailed options for various posts and departments will be taken from the candidates either online before DV or at the time of Document Verification.
3. A candidate will not be considered for a Post and Ministry/ Department/ Organization, if he/she has not indicated his/her preference for it.
While giving preference of the posts/ Departments either online before DV or at the time of Document Verification, the candidates may note that the following posts have specific requirements of Physical Standards, Physical Tests and Medical Standards :
1. Inspector (Central Excise)-CBIC
2. Inspector (Examiner)-CBIC
3. Inspector (Preventive Officer)-CBIC
4. Inspector-CBN
5. Sub-Inspector-CBN
6. Sub-Inspector-CBI

Tips & Tricks for Tier- III Descriptive Paper :-
1. Strategy: Plan a strategy and work on it accordingly. You can check for the previous year’s paper and essay question asked in other related examination that can help you with the focus areas.
2. Time Management: During practice, you have to keep time in mind. You have to attempt 3 questions in 60 minutes in which not only you will choose a topic and strategize the same but will also have to write as per the pattern.
3. Attempt: Try to attempt an essay first in the examination as it will not only fetch you more marks but also makes your mind focused.
4. Presentation: SSC CGL Descriptive exam demands a proper representation of the answers. So, start your essay with an introduction and end it with the conclusion. Also, preparing to present your letter and precise writing as per the pattern that will provide you decent marks.
5. Formatting: Firstly, candidates should not start writing without any proper format. Secondly, candidates should always remember that formatting will help earn more marks. Also, a clear format will not only make the presentation better but also make it easy to understand how to write. Moreover, try not to exceed the word limit. That can irritate the checker. Besides that, write with the point of view of satisfying the exam checker. Do not forget to read it once after completing the exam.
6. Practice: More importantly, practice every day without fail. Moreover, practice all three sections. Furthermore, do not think it is difficult to crack because that can make you lose confidence.

Tips & Tricks for Tier- III Descriptive Paper :-
1. Strategy: Plan a strategy and work on it accordingly. You can check for the previous year’s paper and essay question asked in other related examination that can help you with the focus areas.
2. Time Management: During practice, you have to keep time in mind. You have to attempt 3 questions in 60 minutes in which not only you will choose a topic and strategize the same but will also have to write as per the pattern.
3. Attempt: Try to attempt an essay first in the examination as it will not only fetch you more marks but also makes your mind focused.
4. Presentation: SSC CGL Descriptive exam demands a proper representation of the answers. So, start your essay with an introduction and end it with the conclusion. Also, preparing to present your letter and precise writing as per the pattern that will provide you decent marks.
5. Formatting: Firstly, candidates should not start writing without any proper format. Secondly, candidates should always remember that formatting will help earn more marks. Also, a clear format will not only make the presentation better but also make it easy to understand how to write. Moreover, try not to exceed the word limit. That can irritate the checker. Besides that, write with the point of view of satisfying the exam checker. Do not forget to read it once after completing the exam.
6. Practice: More importantly, practice every day without fail. Moreover, practice all three sections. Furthermore, do not think it is difficult to crack because that can make you lose confidence.

LATEST UPDATE FOR SSC CGL 2022 EXAM
As per the SSC CGL revised exam pattern, the exam will now consists of only two stages Tier I and Tier II. Earlier there were four papers in SSC CGL Tier II exam but now there will be three papers only. Besides that, the separated tier of the Data Entry Speed Test (DEST) has been merged into Tier II of the SSC CGL 2022 exam.There would be no SSC CGL Tier III & IV any more.

The SSC CGL Tier-1 Exam was conducted from 11th April to 21st April 2022 and the answer key for the same has been released on 2nd May 2022. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released the tentative answer key and release the link to send the objections to the incorrect questions or answers. The candidates need to submit an objection fee of INR 100 for each objection. The candidates can send their objections by May 5 (5.00 PM).
SSC CGL Tier-II answer key 2020 has been released on May 5. The exams were conducted on January 28 and 29, 2022. The candidates can check the final answers provided by the Commission based on which the result was declared on April 26.
SSC CGL 2021-22
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an organization under the Government of India to recruit staff for various posts in the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and in Subordinate Offices. Staff Selection Commission has its headquarters located in New Delhi. At present, it has seven Regional offices at Prayagraj, Mumbai, Kolkata, Guwahati, Chennai, Bangalore, and New Delhi. The examination has several tiers which are conducted over different days with results posted after each tier. It is a national-level exam and recruitment to Group B and Group C posts in government departments is done through this exam. SSC CGL 2021-22: APPLICATION PROCESS
SSC CGL 2021-22 applications was closed on January 23, 2022. The last date to pay the application fee online is January 25, 2022. The candidates can pay the application fee offline till January 27, 2022. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will provide a one-week time frame, January 28 to February 1, 2022 to edit some of the details in the SSC CGL application. After this, the Commission will scrutinise all the applications and send the admit cards to the eligible candidates.
SSC CGL 2021-22 Application form filling : Documents Required
Candidates were asked to keep the following documents handy before starting with the SSC CGL registration process.
1- Valid email ID and Active mobile number (For verification purpose)

STEPS TO FILL SSC CGL 2021-22: ONLINE APPLICATION FORM
1. Registration: While Registering for SSC CGL, Candidate needs to follow below steps:
Step 1. Visit the official website of SSC - ssc.nic.in and click on the "New User? Register Now" option in the login window.
Step 2. In the new window upload the following details:
1- Aadhaar details - Other ID details such as - In case candidate's don't have Aadhar card they can opt-in any other ID - Employer's ID (Govt/PSU/Pvt)/ Pan Card/ Driving License/ Passport/ School/College ID/ Voter ID
2- Candidate's Name

5- Date of Birth
6- Matriculation (10th Class) Examination details

After filling these details, a registration ID and password will be generated for candidate's to use in future for login purposes. This will be the permanent registration ID & password which can be used by candidate's for SSC CGL and also for any other recruitment exam of Staff Selection Commission.
2. Upload of Prescribed Documents & Images (Photographs and Scanned Signatures): In the next step, candidates were required to upload their latest colour photograph and signature as per the below-mentioned specifications:

3. Filling up the SSC CGL application form: In the next step, fill important details like Academic details, Address & choose SSC CGL 2021 exam centres preferences in SSC CGL 2021 application form.
4. Pay the Examination Fee: In the next step pay the examination fee through below payment methods:
1- Candidates can pay the fee in online mode through Visa/Mastercard/Maestro Debit/Credit Cards/Net Banking etc or through an E-challan.
2- E-challan has to be downloaded and the payment has to be made in cash at the nearest State Bank of India branch.

SSC CGL 2021-22: FORM CORRECTION
Candidates will be able to make changes in their SSC CGL application form from January 28 to February 1, 2022. Candidates can make modifications only before submitting, as there is an option for review. The details which can be edited through the correction window are the name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, gender and matriculation roll number. The candidate will be able to make changes in the SSC CGL 2021-22 application form twice from January 28 to February 1, 2022. For the first time application correction, candidates have to pay Rs. 200 and Rs. 500 for the second time application correction.
