SBI CLERK: EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
1. Prospective candidates must have a Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification which is recognized by the Central Government. They should ensure that the passing certificate should indicate the respective degree’s date of passing in it.
2. Candidates who have an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate should make sure that the date of passing of the IDD is on or before.
3. Applicants who are in the Final Year/ Semester of their Graduation are also eligible to apply on a provisional basis. However, this is subject to the condition that if they are provisionally selected, they’ll need to produce proof that they have passed the graduation examination on or before.
4. As per the SBI Clerk qualification criteria, the candidates need to mandatorily indicate the percentage they’ve obtained in the Graduation degree and calculate it to the nearest two decimals in the online application form.
5. For the SBI Clerk eligibility percentage, candidates must have secured at least 50% in 10th standard and a degree course from a recognized university are eligible to take the SBI Clerk exam.
6. For Matriculate Ex-servicemen, prospective applicants should have obtained the Indian Army Special Certificate of Education or corresponding certificate in the Navy or Air Force, after completing at least 15 years of service in the Armed Forces of the Union are eligible to apply for the post.

SBI CLERK: EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
1. Prospective candidates must have a Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification which is recognized by the Central Government. They should ensure that the passing certificate should indicate the respective degree’s date of passing in it.
2. Candidates who have an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate should make sure that the date of passing of the IDD is on or before.
3. Applicants who are in the Final Year/ Semester of their Graduation are also eligible to apply on a provisional basis. However, this is subject to the condition that if they are provisionally selected, they’ll need to produce proof that they have passed the graduation examination on or before.
4. As per the SBI Clerk qualification criteria, the candidates need to mandatorily indicate the percentage they’ve obtained in the Graduation degree and calculate it to the nearest two decimals in the online application form.
5. For the SBI Clerk eligibility percentage, candidates must have secured at least 50% in 10th standard and a degree course from a recognized university are eligible to take the SBI Clerk exam.
6. For Matriculate Ex-servicemen, prospective applicants should have obtained the Indian Army Special Certificate of Education or corresponding certificate in the Navy or Air Force, after completing at least 15 years of service in the Armed Forces of the Union are eligible to apply for the post.

SBI CLERK PROMOTION
An SBI Clerk is eligible to get promotion through two modes:
1. In-cadre Promotion
2. Promotion to Officer cadre
In-cadre promotion:
This type of promotion is based on home postings, that is a time-bound promotion:
i) A special allowance of Rs 1800 is provided along with the total salary. After 10 years of service, the assistant becomes a Senior Assistant. (This Allowance is not considered for calculation of basic pay).
ii) An assistant will become the Special Assistant after twenty years of service. This post carries a special allowance of Rs 2500/- (This is considered for calculation of basic pay).
iii) An assistant will become Senior Special Assistant after thirty years of service. This post carries a special allowance of Rs 3500/- (This is considered for calculation of basic pay).
Promotion to Officer Cadre:
i) An assistant becomes Trainee Officer after completing three years of his/ her service.
ii) This requires qualification of the JAIIB and CAIIB Examinations from the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF) apart from clearing the internal written examination and personal interview.
iii) These officers are then put on probation for a period of two years. After the probation period and based on their personal interview, they are either absorbed in the Middle Management Grade (Scale – II) or sent back to Clerical Cadre.
iv) An assistant can become Scale – I Officer also in the Junior Management Grade when he/ she has completed six years of service in fast track channel or twelve years of service in normal track channel. For faster promotions, JAIIB and CAIIB qualification is also important and should also clear the written test along with the personal interview.

SBI CLERK EXAM CAREER PROSPECTS
Candidates appointed to the post of SBI Clerk are required to perform the following job responsibilities:
1. Candidates are responsible for the day-to-day bank functions such as opening accounts, amount transfers, issuance of demand drafts(DD), cheque clearance, cheque book requests, receiving inward emails
2. Candidates need to handle cash transactions of the concerned branch, clearing, and transfer of cheques
3. Candidates are responsible for addressing the concerns of customers
SBI CLERK PROMOTION
An SBI Clerk is eligible to get promotion through two modes:
1. In-cadre Promotion
2. Promotion to Officer cadre
In-cadre promotion:
This type of promotion is based on home postings, that is a time-bound promotion:
i) A special allowance of Rs 1800 is provided along with the total salary. After 10 years of service, the assistant becomes a Senior Assistant. (This Allowance is not considered for calculation of basic pay).
ii) An assistant will become the Special Assistant after twenty years of service. This post carries a special allowance of Rs 2500/- (This is considered for calculation of basic pay).
iii) An assistant will become Senior Special Assistant after thirty years of service. This post carries a special allowance of Rs 3500/- (This is considered for calculation of basic pay).
Promotion to Officer Cadre:
i) An assistant becomes Trainee Officer after completing three years of his/ her service.
ii) This requires qualification of the JAIIB and CAIIB Examinations from the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF) apart from clearing the internal written examination and personal interview.
iii) These officers are then put on probation for a period of two years. After the probation period and based on their personal interview, they are either absorbed in the Middle Management Grade (Scale – II) or sent back to Clerical Cadre.
iv) An assistant can become Scale – I Officer also in the Junior Management Grade when he/ she has completed six years of service in fast track channel or twelve years of service in normal track channel. For faster promotions, JAIIB and CAIIB qualification is also important and should also clear the written test along with the personal interview.

SBI Clerk 2024: Who Can Apply
Nationality / Citizenship
A candidate applying for the SBI Clerk exam must be either –
(i) a Citizen of India or
(ii) a subject of Nepal or
(iii) a subject of Bhutan or
(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
Age Limit
According to SBI Clerk age limit eligibility, applicants between 20 to 28 years, can apply for the SBI Clerk exam.
Educational Qualifications
Candidates must fulfil the following educational requirements to apply for the examination:
1. Prospective candidates must have a Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification which is recognized by the Central Government. They must make sure the passing certificate shows the date the relevant degree was earned.
2. Candidates who have an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing of the IDD is as per the guidelines given in the notification.
3. Those who are in the final year/ semester of their graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if provisionally selected, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination.
4. As per the SBI Clerk qualification criteria, the candidates need to mandatorily indicate the percentage they’ve obtained in the Graduation degree and calculate it to the nearest two decimals in the online application form.
5. For Matriculate Ex-servicemen, prospective applicants should have obtained the Indian Army Special Certificate of Education or corresponding certificate in the Navy or Air Force, after completing at least 15 years of service in the Armed Forces of the Union.
SBI Clerk 2024: How Can Apply
Step 1 - Visit the SBI official website
Step 2 - Click on the Careers tab on the top left hand corner of the SBI website.
Step 3 - Look for the SBI Junior Associate recruitment link and click on it. A drop down menu will appear, from there download the SBI Clerk notification and then click on the SBI recruitment Apply Online link.
Step 4 - Click on the new registration, if not registered. Else Use the login details to access the SBI Clerk application form.
Step 5 - Enter the personal details to complete the SBI Clerk registration process. The SBI Clerk registration details will be displayed on the screen and sent to the registered email ID and mobile number.
Step 6 - Upload the scanned image and signature as per dimensions.
Step 7 - Now fill in basic personal details in the SBI Clerk application form.
Step 8 - Fill in the SBI Clerk educational qualification and employment details. And add the languages known.
Step 9 - Preview the application form of SBI Clerk and all the details filled. Tick all the relevant declaration boxes. And click on the complete registration button.
Step 10 - Upload the scanned thumb impression and hand written note. And then click on the Save and Next button.
Step 11 - Pay the SBI Clerk application fee..
Step 12 - On successful completion of the SBI Clerk application fee payment, a confirmation will be sent to the candidates registered email ID and mobile number. Applicants must take a print out of the SBI Clerk application form for future reference.

1. There will be 190 questions from 4 sections; General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude and General/Financial Awareness.
