Description
The State Bank of India (SBI) is expected to conduct the SBI Clerk Main Examination 2025 in November 2025. While the exact date and time are yet to be announced, the detailed notification confirms that the main exam for Junior Associate posts will be held tentatively during the month. Candidates who successfully qualified in the preliminary exam are eligible to appear for the main exam.
SBI Clerk Main Exam 2025: Pattern And Structure
The main examination will consist of 190 objective-type questions carrying a total of 200 marks. The duration of the exam will be 2 hours and 40 minutes, divided into the following four sections:
General/Financial Awareness
General English
Quantitative Aptitude
Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude
Each section will have a separate time limit.
Marking Scheme And Qualifying Criteria
There will be a negative marking of ¼ mark for every incorrect response in the objective tests. Candidates must secure the minimum aggregate cut-off marks as decided by the Bank. A 5% relaxation in qualifying marks will be given to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/XS/DXS categories. There will be no sectional cut-off for individual subjects, and section-wise marks will not be maintained.
Preliminary Exam Overview
The SBI Clerk Prelims Exam 2025 was conducted on September 20, 21, and 27, featuring 100 questions divided into:
English Language (30 questions)
Numerical Ability (35 questions)
Reasoning Ability (25 questions)
The one-hour preliminary exam results were declared on November 4, 2025.

Through this recruitment drive, SBI aims to fill 5,180 Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) positions across its branches in India. The admit card for the main examination will be released once the final schedule is confirmed.
