RAJASTHAN TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST (REET) EXAMINATION

Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test (RTET) or Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teacher (REET) is conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (BSER). The State-level RTET/REET exam is conducted for the recruitment of teachers for two different levels, Level I or Primary Teacher and Level II or Upper Primary Teacher.

REET EXAM PATTERN

Paper II of the REET Examination consists of five sections out of which candidates need to attempt four sections. The total number of questions is 150 and total marks are also 150. The Total duration for REET Paper-II Examination is 150 minutes.

The section-wise distribution of Questions and Marks is given below:-

Note :- **For any other teacher - either Mathematics and Science or Social Studies/Social Science has to be attempted.
Both languages (Language I & Language II) papers are compulsory. The choice of language for language-I and II should be different.

Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test (RTET) or Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teacher (REET) is conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (RBSE). Candidates willing to apply for the REET Paper- II Examination are required to fulfill certain conditions to be eligible for it. The candidate who does not satisfy the Eligibility criteria like Age, Minimum educational qualification, etc., their candidature shall be rejected by the authorities.

REET PAPER II EXAMINATION EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate must possess :-

1. Graduation and passed or appearing in final of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (OR)

2. Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1 Year B.Ed. passed or appearing in their final year of 2-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) (OR)

3. Graduation with at least 45% marks and 1-year B.Ed. passed or appearing in final year of 2 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard (OR)

4. A Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in their final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) (OR)

5. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A. /B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed. (OR)

6. Graduation or Post Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education) passed or appearing in final year of B.Ed (Special Education).

REET PAPER II EXAMINATION  VALIDITY OF CERTIFICATE & NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS

1. The Validity Period of REET qualifying certificate will be 3 years from the date of declaration of its result for all categories.

RAJASTHAN TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST (REET) EXAM

Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test (RTET) or Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teacher (REET) is conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (RBSE). Rajasthan Eligibility Examination For Teacher (REET) is an Indian entrance exam for teachers. The test is mandatory for obtaining teaching positions in public schools from grade 1 through grade 8. REET Paper 1 is intended for teachers who choose Grade 1 to Grade 5 and  REET Paper 2 for Grade 6 to Grade 8. It is implemented by both the central and state governments of India.

REET PAPER-II EXAMINATION SELECTION PROCESS

1. Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the written exam.

2. In order to qualify the written exam, candidates should score minimum marks of their respective categories.

3. Candidates must also meet the minimum eligibility criteria on the basis of qualifying for the REET examination.

4. Persons belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently-abled persons, etc. may get concessions from some schools as per their reservation policy.

5. Once candidates clear the REET examination, they can apply to schools for the relevant teacher posts and undergo the selection procedure for appointment.

6. Candidates may note that qualifying for the REET examination would not confer a right on any person for recruitment/employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.

7. Those who have qualified for the exam but are not satisfied with their scores may appear again for improving their scores. Also, there is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a REET certificate.

RAJASTHAN TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST (REET) EXAM

Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test (RTET) or Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teacher (REET) is conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (RBSE). Rajasthan Eligibility Examination For Teacher (REET) is an Indian entrance exam for teachers. The test is mandatory for obtaining teaching positions in public schools from grade 1 through grade 8. REET Paper 1 is intended for teachers who choose Grade 1 to Grade 5 and  REET Paper 2 for Grade 6 to Grade 8. It is implemented by both the central and state governments of India.

REET PAPER-II EXAMINATION SELECTION PROCESS

1. Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the written exam.

2. In order to qualify the written exam, candidates should score minimum marks of their respective categories.

3. Candidates must also meet the minimum eligibility criteria on the basis of qualifying for the REET examination.

4. Persons belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently-abled persons, etc. may get concessions from some schools as per their reservation policy.

5. Once candidates clear the REET examination, they can apply to schools for the relevant teacher posts and undergo the selection procedure for appointment.

6. Candidates may note that qualifying for the REET examination would not confer a right on any person for recruitment/employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.

7. Those who have qualified for the exam but are not satisfied with their scores may appear again for improving their scores. Also, there is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a REET certificate.

2. Make notes and revise them regularly- Develop a habit of making short notes when going through the syllabus. These notes help in regular revision of the syllabus. Moreover, these save your time during revision as you just need to go through the important topics instead of the complete chapter again. Regular revision from notes also helps you in remembering the concepts, formulas and important theories.

3. Detailed Knowledge About the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2005- The principles of the REET exam are activity-based teaching, child-centered learning, teacher’s appreciation for the children etc which is where NCF 2005 is important which points out the best educational practices in India and the methods of teaching each subject. The REET exam will consist of several questions based on application-based-classroom-teaching which is where an in-depth knowledge of the NCF 2005 will come to the candidates’ rescue.

The process of filling REET application form is online. For Online submission, candidates must visit the official website of Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education Candidates have to be ready with the following documents /items before filling up the application form:

STEPS TO FILL REET ONLINE APPLICATION FORM

1- Payment of fees and registration: Firstly, the candidates have to pay the required fee. After entering details such as qualifying exam hall ticket number, name, date of birth, mobile number, email id, and stream, the candidates have to make the payment online (net banking/debit card/credit card) or offline mode. Payment ID will be generated after which the candidates will be able to move forward to fill the application form.

2- Filling of REET application form:  Next, the candidates have to fill out the application form with their personal, contact, academic, and examination details.

i- Contact Details - Candidate's name, date of birth, gender, Aadhaar card number/enrollment number, birth district, birth state, ration card number, the annual income of parents, caste category, minority/mon-minority, and bank details. 

ii- Address Details - House no., village/street /locality, Mandal/town/city, district, state, pin code, mobile number, alternate mobile Number and telephone number, and email Id. 

iii- Academic Details - Qualifying exam, the medium of instruction at the qualifying exam, SSC or equivalent (10th Class), intermediate or equivalent (10+2), and place of study.

3- Uploading scanned images of photograph and signature: Once all the details are entered successfully, candidates are required to upload the scanned images of the photograph and signature in the format specified by the authorities.
