EXAM ANALYSIS 2025
The IPU CET UG 2025 exam was generally reported as moderate to easy, with most questions being straightforward and manageable for students familiar with the Class 12 syllabus. This trend applied especially to courses like BBA, BCA, BJMC, and Law.
For B.Tech-related concerns (where IPU may use JEE Main or equivalent for admissions), the CET portion (if taken) was also within the moderate range compared to national exams.
Section Wise Analysis
English & Language Comprehension
Most questions were simple to moderate, covering passages, grammar, and vocabulary.
Many students found this section scoring and direct in nature.
Logical & Analytical Ability
Questions were mostly easy to moderate, including series, arrangement, analogy, and logical reasoning.
Students reported this section as attemptable with good accuracy.
General Awareness / Current Affairs
Questions were moderate, with a mix of static GK and current events.
For some students, this was slightly tougher compared to language or reasoning.
Quantitative (Maths / Subject Aptitude)
Depending on the course (e.g., BCA, BJMC), the maths portion was moderate, requiring focus on Class 12 level maths topics.
Those strong in basics found this manageable, while others took slightly longer.
Paper Structure
The exam was offline/pen-paper mode (OMR) with 100 MCQs to be completed in 150 minutes.
Every correct answer fetched +4 marks, and 1 mark was deducted for each incorrect answer.
The paper was divided into four main areas depending on the course—English, Reasoning, Knowledge (GA), and subject-specific aptitude.
Good Attempts & Strategy
Most good performers answered 115–130 questions with high accuracy to secure competitive ranks.
Attempting easy and direct questions first was a common student strategy to maximize score within the time limit.
