About Career
1. As an Interior Designer, you will be visualizing, creating, and implementing designs for interior areas of residencies/homes, restaurants, malls, stores, and luxury trains by specifically arranging particular elements like wood, metal, water, plants, fabric, glass, fire, etc.
2. As an Interior Designer, you will be planning, designing, and furnishing interiors of residential, commercial, or industrial buildings. You will have to formulate a design that is aesthetic, practical, and favorable to intended purposes, such as selling merchandise, raising productivity, or improving lifestyle. You may specialize in a particular style, field, or phase of interior design like designing commercial or personal spaces, bookstores, etc.
3. As an Interior Designer, you need to be creative and analytical with an investigative mindset to constantly learn about new concepts, and evolving technologies and update your existing knowledge. You will need to conduct extensive research to develop and maintain your design skills. You will need a deep understanding of the subtle elements that make up an enclosed space and the way various participating objects are manufactured to know how and where to place them.
4. Interior Designers work according to their philosophies which they develop after learning about various cultural design philosophies like Feng Shui from China, Shibusa from Japan, Blessings from Ireland, Vastu Shastra from India, Raid from Morocco, Hygge from Scandinavia, etc. You need to be able to reinforce the identity of a client by using your creativity to produce a simple, clean yet attractive design that suits the needs of your clientele.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
As an Interior Designer, you will be engaged with one or more of the following roles and responsibilities: -
1. You will be interacting with your clients to understand their concepts and creative ideas before conceptualizing, creating, and building your design.
2. You will be advising your clients on interior design aspects such as space layout, planning, use of equipment or furnishings, and color coordination.
3. You will be conferring with the client to determine factors like architectural preferences, budget, purpose, etc. that may affect your plans.
4. You will be formulating, conceptualizing, creating, and building a design that is aesthetic, practical, favorable, and compliant to the suggestions of your clients or colleagues under prior discussions that you may have had.
5. You will be estimating material costs and requirements, and presenting your design to the client for approval.
6. You will be assisting computer-aided drafting (CAD) technicians or using associated software yourself to produce relevant construction documents about your design.
7. You will be selecting designing, and purchasing furnishings, accessories, and artworks according to approved design plans.
8. You will be inspecting construction work at a location to ensure that the output adheres to your design plans.
9. You will be coordinating with contractors, engineers, architects, plumbers, and other professionals to ensure job success.
10. You will be researching and exploring the use of new technologies, materials, and products to incorporate into your designs, update your knowledge, and maintain your design skills.

After completing Class 10 all subjects as per scheme of studies then complete Class 11-12 with any subject as per scheme of studies. You can go for a Bachelor's degree (B. Des-Bachelor of Design / B. A. –Bachelor of Arts/ B. Voc- Bachelor of Vocation) course in ‘Interior Design’, ‘Interior Styling’, ‘Interior Decoration’, ‘Interior Design and Architecture’, ‘Interior Design and Entrepreneurship’, ‘Furniture and Interior Design’, ‘Interior Architecture’, ‘Interior Decoration and Designing’, ‘Interior Design & Decoration’ or similar courses. After your graduation, you can also opt for Diploma / Certificate / Orientation / Post Graduate Diploma courses for Feng Shui, Vastu Shastra, Irish Blessings, Raid, Hygge, Shibusa, etc.
After completing Class 10 all subjects as per scheme of studies then complete Class 11-12 with any subject as per scheme of studies. You can go for a Bachelor's degree (B. Des-Bachelor of Design / B.
