The industry is expected to grow more in the upcoming years and will play a major factor in increasing the Indian economy. The visual arts industry would also directly influence the employment distribution in the country and impact the skills development industry. It is also expected to add great value to India’s cultural tourism.

2. Although several Indian art collectors have joined the Indian Visual Arts Industry certain key private players such as Delhi Art Gallery (DAG) and Kiran Nadar Art Museum (KNMA) have been promoting art and establishing its appreciation amongst art enthusiasts. There’s a huge untapped potential in the art markets as both primary and secondary markets’ prices vary in huge numbers. Artwork prices in the primary market are usually lower compared to those of the secondary market, as artworks can take a lot of time before they attain a reputation for their creativity and historical importance.

3. The online platform has emerged as a much easier platform which is making the buying and selling of artworks easier. Several artists, curators, dealers, and buyers are using the online model for trading art pieces and reaching a diverse group of art lovers. Considering the industry trends, a career as an Art Dealer is expected to grow in the upcoming years.
