Punjab Lecturer Recruitment 2026: Eligibility

Candidates applying for the Lecturer Group B posts are required to meet the prescribed eligibility conditions.

• The age limit is 18 to 37 years.

• Applicable age relaxation is provided to eligible categories according to government rules.

• Candidates are required to hold a postgraduate or Master's degree with at least 55% marks.

• The minimum marks requirement is 50% for SC and ST candidates.

• A B.Ed degree is required.

• Candidates must have studied Punjabi as a subject in Class 10.

• UGC NET, PSTET or Ph.D-qualified candidates are given preference as per the recruitment details.

Punjab Lecturer Selection Process 2026

The selection process for the Lecturer posts consists of a written examination followed by an interview. Candidates qualifying the prescribed stages may also be required to complete document verification and medical examination, as applicable.

The recruitment includes 829 regular vacancies and 184 backlog vacancies, making a total of 1,013 Lecturer Group B posts.
