The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has released the e-Admit Cards for the Assistant Professor (College Cadre) Screening Test and Subject Aptitude Test 2026. The Commission issued the latest press note on September 23, 2026, in continuation of its previously announced examination schedule.

The admit cards have been issued for provisionally admitted candidates applying for Assistant Professor posts in Hindi, Chemistry, Physical Education and Music-Instrumental. Eligible candidates can download their hall tickets and examination instructions through the official HPPSC recruitment portal using their login credentials.

HPPSC Assistant Professor Exam Dates 2026

The Screening Test and Subject Aptitude Test for Assistant Professor posts in Hindi and Chemistry will be conducted on October 4, 2026. The examinations for Physical Education and Music-Instrumental are scheduled for October 7, 2026.

Paper-I will be conducted as the Screening Test, while Paper-II will be the Subject Aptitude Test.

Candidates should reach the examination centre before the entry closing time. Entry will close 30 minutes before the beginning of each paper, that is, at 10:30 AM for Paper-I and 1:30 PM for Paper-II.

Provisionally admitted candidates can access their e-Admit Cards through the HPPSC recruitment portal. Candidates should follow the steps below:

• Visit the official HPPSC recruitment website.

• Open the link for the Assistant Professor (College Cadre) e-Admit Card 2026.

• Enter your User ID and Password.

• Enter the security Captcha code.

• Submit the login details.

• The Assistant Professor admit card will appear on the screen.

• Download the hall ticket and take a clear printout for the examination.

After downloading the hall ticket, candidates should carefully verify the information printed on it. Important details include:

• Candidate's name

• Photograph

• Roll Number/User ID

• Subject

• Examination date and timings

• Examination centre address

• Examination-day instructions

Candidates should carry the required documents and a clear copy of the admit card to the examination centre.

HPPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment 2026: 410 Vacancies

The Assistant Professor recruitment drive covers 410 posts. Of these, 373 posts are in the Higher Education Wing across 23 traditional College Cadre subjects, while 37 posts are in the Medical Education Wing covering clinical and super-speciality disciplines.

Some of the subjects with higher vacancy numbers include:

• English – 39 posts

• Chemistry – 34 posts

• Hindi – 34 posts

• Mathematics – 25 posts

• Physics – 25 posts

The monthly emolument for the posts is Rs 35,000 under the Group-A Job Trainee framework.

The selection process consists of the Screening Test, Subject Aptitude Test and Personality Test.

HPPSC Assistant Professor Admit Card: SMS and Email Intimation

HPPSC has informed candidates that the e-Admit Cards and examination instructions have been uploaded on its official website. Provisionally admitted candidates have also been notified through SMS and email sent to the contact details provided during the online application process.
