The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have released the indicative notification for Centralised Employment Notification (CEN) No. 07/2026 for Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) Undergraduate posts. The recruitment drive will fill 1,688 vacancies across various Level-2 and Level-3 posts in Indian Railways.

The online application process will begin on October 15, 2026, and eligible candidates can submit their applications until November 13, 2026, at 11:59 PM. The recruitment is open to candidates who have passed Class 12 from a recognised board.

The 1,688 vacancies have been distributed across four undergraduate-level posts. The post-wise vacancy details are as follows:

RRB NTPC UG Eligibility 2026

Candidates applying for the recruitment must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board. The prescribed age limit is 18 to 30 years as on January 1, 2027.

Age relaxation will be applicable to eligible reserved-category candidates according to government rules.

Candidates must also complete the prescribed Aadhaar authentication process. Applicants should ensure that their Aadhaar details match their Class 10 certificate records, including the required personal details and photograph.

RRB NTPC UG Application Fee 2026

Candidates have to pay the prescribed application fee while submitting the online form.

Candidates should check the detailed CEN carefully for the applicable fee-refund provisions and other conditions.

RRB NTPC UG Selection Process 2026

The selection process for the undergraduate NTPC posts will include multiple stages:

• Computer-Based Test (CBT) 1

• Computer-Based Test (CBT) 2

• Computer-Based Typing Skill Test, wherever applicable

• Document Verification

• Medical Examination

The typing test will apply to posts for which a typing skill assessment is prescribed.

Steps to Apply for RRB NTPC UG Recruitment 2026

Eligible candidates can apply online once the application window opens on October 15.

Step 1: Registration

Visit the official RRB application portal and complete the initial registration using an active mobile number, email ID and the required Aadhaar authentication details.

Step 2: Fill the Application Form

Log in using the registration credentials and complete the application form. Enter educational qualifications, category details, post preferences and examination language preferences carefully.

Step 3: Upload Documents

Upload the required scanned photograph, signature and other documents in the prescribed format and specifications.

Step 4: Pay the Application Fee

Pay the applicable fee through the available online payment methods, such as net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI.

Step 5: Submit the Form

Review all details carefully before submitting the application. After final submission, download or print the completed application form and payment confirmation for future reference.
