Description
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the UPSC Indian Forest Service (IFS/IFoS) Mains Exam Date 2026 on September 17, 2026. According to the official schedule, the IFS Mains examination will be conducted over seven days on November 22, 23, 25, 26, 27, 28 and 29, 2026.
The examination will be conducted in two shifts each day. Candidates who qualified the UPSC IFS Preliminary Examination 2026 will be eligible to appear for the Mains examination. The Preliminary exam was held on May 24, 2026, and its result was announced on June 15, 2026. A total of 1,046 candidates have been shortlisted for the Mains.

UPSC IFS Mains Exam Shift Timings 2026
The IFS Mains examination will be conducted in two sessions. Candidates should report to the examination centre according to the instructions mentioned on their admit cards.
