The Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has postponed the Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (MH SET) 2026 for the third time. As per the latest notification, the MH SET 2026 examination will now be conducted on October 25, 2026.

The examination was initially scheduled for July 6, 2026. It was later postponed to September 6 and then to September 27. The university has now revised the schedule again and shifted the examination to October 25.

According to the notice issued on September 13, SPPU cited the schedule of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and other competitive examinations as one of the reasons for changing the exam date. The university also noted that candidates could face difficulties travelling to examination centres due to Anant Chaturdashi, which will be observed on September 25.

Candidates appearing for MH SET 2026 should note the revised examination date and plan their preparation accordingly.

Why Has MH SET 2026 Been Postponed?

SPPU has cited multiple factors behind the postponement of MH SET 2026. The university considered the examination schedule of UPSC and other competitive examinations while finalising the revised date.

Another reason is Anant Chaturdashi, which will be observed on September 25. The university stated that candidates may face difficulties travelling to their allotted examination centres around the festival.

With the examination now scheduled for October 25, candidates will get additional time to prepare for the test.

MH SET 2026 Admit Card

SPPU will release the MH SET 2026 admit card at a later date. The university has not yet announced the exact date for downloading the hall ticket.

Candidates should regularly check the official SPPU website for updates regarding the admit card, examination centre, reporting time and other important instructions.

Once released, candidates will need their login credentials to download the MH SET 2026 admit card. They should also verify all details mentioned on the hall ticket and contact the university in case of any discrepancy.
