The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has issued guidelines for the online school-to-school transfer of students studying in Classes 8th to 12th for the academic session 2026-27. The board has also announced the schedule and applicable fees for transferring students from one school to another.

Students can avail the transfer facility without any fee up to the last date of admission. After the admission deadline, transfers will be processed online according to the prescribed schedule and fee. Schools must complete the entire transfer process by December 31, 2026.

PSEB Online School Transfer: Steps for New School

The student seeking admission to another school must first submit an application to the new school. The new school can then initiate the online transfer process by following these steps:

• Log in to the school portal and select the “Apply for Transfer” option under the School Transfer menu.

• Select one search parameter from Student Unique ID, Registration Number, Government ID Number or Mobile Number.

• Enter the required details and click on “Search”.

• Check the student details and registration fee status displayed on the screen.

• Select “Transfer” under the Choose Action option.

• Upload the student's application under “Upload Candidate Application”.

• Enter the reason for transfer in the “Reason of Transfer” field.

• Click on “Apply Transfer”.

• The list of students for whom transfer applications have been submitted can be checked under the “Applied List” option.

PSEB School Transfer: Steps for Previous School

After the new school submits the transfer request, the previous school has to provide its consent.

• The previous school should log in and open the “Received List” under the School Transfer menu.

• The school will find the “Accept/Reject by School” option under Choose Action.

• Select “Accept” if the school agrees to the transfer or “Reject” if it does not approve the request.

• Select the appropriate response, enter remarks and click on “Submit”.

• After the previous school accepts the transfer, the “Pay Fee” option will appear in the New School login.

• The new school must complete the online fee payment.

• Once the payment is successful, the student will be transferred to the new school.

PSEB School-to-School Transfer: Transfer Certificate

After the transfer is completed, the transfer certificate can be printed through the “Print” option available in the Applied List of the new school or the Received List of the previous school.

The student will then be shifted to the new school. The transfer details can also be checked through the “View Inserted Records” option available in the respective form.

Schools should ensure that all transfer applications are processed within the schedule prescribed by PSEB. Students and schools should also verify the details entered during the online transfer process before submitting the request.

The entire school-to-school transfer procedure for the 2026-27 session must be completed by December 31, 2026.
