Description
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued the UGC-NET June 2026 re-examination admit card for candidates appearing in the English, Commerce and Sociology subjects. The hall tickets were released on September 4, 2026, for examinations scheduled to be conducted on September 9 and September 10, 2026, at various examination centres across the country.
Candidates were informed about their examination city and date through the UGC-NET Advance City Intimation Slip, which was released on September 1, 2026. Candidates appearing for the re-examination should download their admit card and undertaking from the official UGC-NET website using their login credentials. They should also carefully read all instructions mentioned on the hall ticket before appearing for the examination.
Three UGC-NET Papers to be Re-Conducted
The NTA is conducting the re-examination for three UGC-NET subjects after the cancellation of the original examinations. An official review committee had identified several issues in the question papers, including factual errors, translation mistakes, typographical errors, incorrect spellings of scholars' names and a significant number of questions repeated from previous examinations.
Following the review, NTA decided to re-conduct the examinations for English, Commerce and Sociology. The examinations for the remaining 84 subjects will remain valid and will not be affected by the re-examination.
Candidates can check the UGC-NET June 2026 re-examination schedule below:
| Subject | Date | Examination Time |
English | September 9, 2026 | 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon |
Commerce | September 9, 2026 | 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM |
Sociology | September 10, 2026 | 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon |
Candidates appearing for these three re-examinations will not be required to pay an additional examination fee.
