The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an advisory asking candidates to provide complete and accurate details while submitting grievances related to its examinations. The agency said that including essential information will help officials identify the concerned candidate and resolve complaints more efficiently.

NTA said it receives a large number of grievances through email and social media platforms every day. However, many complaints do not include basic details required to trace the candidate or application. Since lakhs of candidates appear for various NTA examinations, missing information can make it difficult for officials to identify the relevant application and respond promptly.

NTA Grievance Advisory: Details Candidates Should Provide

Candidates have been advised to follow these instructions when submitting examination-related complaints:

• Send the grievance using the registered email ID provided during the application process.

• Mention the Application Number in the email subject line.

• Clearly specify the name of the examination related to the complaint.

• Briefly describe the issue or concern.

• Attach relevant screenshots or supporting documents wherever necessary.

• Send the grievance only to the dedicated helpdesk email ID for the concerned examination.

The examination-specific helpdesk email address is provided in the respective information bulletin and is also available on the official NTA website.

Why Did NTA Issue the Grievance Advisory?

NTA conducts and manages a large number of national-level entrance and recruitment examinations involving millions of candidates. According to the agency, grievances submitted without essential identifying details can make it difficult for officials to locate the relevant application.

Providing the application number, examination name and other required information allows officials to identify the candidate without requesting the same details again. Candidates have therefore been advised to include all relevant information while raising a complaint.

NTA Grievance Portal for Reporting Examination-Related Issues

NTA has previously introduced dedicated grievance mechanisms to address concerns related to its examinations. Before the NEET UG re-test held on June 21, the agency launched a live public grievance portal to counter rumours and misinformation related to alleged question paper leaks.

The portal enabled candidates and other stakeholders to report issues such as fake websites, misleading claims about question paper leaks and individuals falsely representing themselves as NTA officials.

Candidates should check the official NTA website and the information bulletin of their respective examination for the latest grievance procedure and the correct helpdesk contact details.
