Description
The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has declared the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026 result under Advertisement Number 01/2026. The result was announced on August 26, 2026, after the written examination was conducted on July 2, 3 and 4, 2026, in five shifts.
A total of 19,94,661 candidates appeared for the UPTET 2026 examination. At the Primary Level for Classes 1 to 5, 7,13,648 candidates appeared, of whom 5,71,435 candidates qualified. The pass percentage at this level was 80.07%. At the Upper Primary Level for Classes 6 to 8, 10,57,021 candidates appeared and 7,59,513 candidates qualified, recording a pass percentage of 71.85%.
UPTET 2026 Result Details
The UPTET 2026 examination was conducted at 955 centres across 60 districts of Uttar Pradesh. Candidates who have qualified in the examination will proceed to the eligibility certificate stage. The certificate will establish their eligibility for future teacher recruitment processes, subject to the recruitment rules applicable to the respective posts.
Working teachers also appeared for the UPTET 2026 examination. At the Primary Level, 93,387 out of 1,22,405 working teachers qualified. At the Upper Primary Level, 1,13,384 out of 1,46,394 working teachers qualified.

UPTET 2026 Normalisation Process
Since the UPTET 2026 examination was conducted in five shifts for a large number of candidates, UPESSC applied the comparative normalisation process prescribed under Point 09 of Advertisement Number 01/2026.
The normalisation process was used to ensure a fair comparison of candidates' performance across different examination shifts before the final result was prepared.

Enter the required credentials, such as Roll Number or Registration Number and Date of Birth, wherever applicable.

The UPTET 2026 result will be displayed on the screen.
Check the qualifying status and other result details.
Download the result or scorecard.
Take a printout or save a copy for future reference.

UPTET 2026 Qualifying Marks
The minimum qualifying requirement for UPTET 2026 varies according to the candidate's category. General or Unreserved (UR) candidates are required to secure 60%, which is equivalent to 90 marks out of 150.
Candidates belonging to OBC, SC, ST, PwD and ex-servicemen categories are required to secure 55%, equivalent to 82.5 marks out of 150.

UPTET 2026 Age Limit
As specified for the examination, the age limit for UPTET 2026 is 18 to 40 years. The candidate's age is calculated as on January 1, 2026, subject to the applicable rules and relaxations.
UPTET 2026 Eligibility Certificate
Candidates who qualify for the UPTET 2026 examination will be eligible to proceed to the eligibility certificate stage. The certificate serves as evidence of qualifying the Teacher Eligibility Test and can be used for eligibility in future teacher recruitment processes, subject to the conditions prescribed for the respective recruitment.
