The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer key for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 examination on August 16, 2026. Along with the answer key, candidates can also access their question papers and recorded responses through the official CSIR-NET portal.
Candidates who are not satisfied with any answer mentioned in the provisional key can submit an online challenge within the specified period. The objection window will remain open from August 16 to August 18, 2026, until 11:00 PM.
The Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 examination was conducted on July 17 and July 18, 2026, in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The examination was held across 224 cities and 352 centres, with 1,87,739 candidates registered for the test.
CSIR NET Answer Key 2026: Important Details
The provisional answer key allows candidates to compare the official answers with their recorded responses and identify any question for which they believe the answer requires correction.

Steps to Challenge CSIR NET Answer Key 2026
Candidates who wish to challenge an answer in the provisional key can follow these steps:
First visit the CSIR-NET official website.
Select the “Challenge(s) regarding Answer Key” option.
Log in using the application number and password.
Enter the captcha displayed on the screen.
Select “View Question Paper” to access the recorded responses.
Click on “Click to view / Challenge Answer Key”.
Identify the question to be challenged using its Question ID.
Select the appropriate option or options for the challenge.
Upload supporting documents, if required, in a single PDF file of up to 500 KB.
Review the selected challenges carefully.
Save the claims and proceed to payment.
Pay the prescribed Rs 200 fee for each challenged question.
Save the payment confirmation and submitted challenge details.
Direct Link To CSIR NET Answer Key 2026
Candidates should review their claims carefully before making the payment. According to NTA, the challenge facility can be used only once, and no further modification or additional challenge will be permitted after successful payment.
CSIR NET Answer Key Objection 2026
Candidates must submit their objections before 11:00 PM on August 18, 2026. The challenge will be considered only after the prescribed processing fee has been successfully paid.
NTA will forward the submitted challenges to a panel of subject experts for review. If an objection is found to be correct, the agency will make the necessary changes to the answer key.
The revised final answer key will then be used to evaluate the responses and prepare the CSIR NET result. NTA will not send individual notifications to candidates regarding whether their particular challenge has been accepted or rejected.
The answer key finalised after the expert review will be treated as final.
CSIR NET June 2026 Examination Details
The Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 examination was conducted on July 17 and July 18, 2026. The test was organised in CBT mode at 352 examination centres spread across 224 cities.

ICAR AIEEA PG and AICE PhD Answer Key 2026
NTA has also scheduled the release of provisional answer keys for the ICAR AIEEA (PG) and AICE JRF/SRF (PhD) 2026 examinations on August 16, 2026.
Candidates who appeared for these agricultural entrance examinations should visit the designated NTA portal to access their provisional answer keys, recorded responses and objection-related instructions.
The ICAR AIEEA (PG) examination was conducted in CBT mode on July 4, 2026. The paper contained 120 multiple-choice questions carrying a total of 480 marks. Candidates received four marks for every correct response, while one mark was deducted for an incorrect answer.
