MHT CET CAP Round 2 Allotment: What After Seat Allocation?

Candidates who receive a seat in Round 2 will have to select an appropriate option through the counselling portal. The available choices include Freeze and Betterment.

Freeze: Candidates who are satisfied with their allotted college and course can choose Freeze to confirm the seat. Once the option is confirmed, they will not participate in subsequent CAP rounds. If a candidate receives their first preference, the seat is automatically frozen.

Betterment: Candidates can select Betterment if they wish to retain the current seat while remaining eligible for a higher preference in the next counselling round. If a higher preference is allotted in Round 3, the Round 2 seat will be automatically cancelled and replaced by the new allotment.

Candidates selecting either option are required to pay the applicable seat acceptance fee through the online portal.
