The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to publish the provisional answer key for the UGC NET June 2026 examination this week. Along with UGC NET, the agency is also likely to issue answer keys for the CSIR UGC NET, ICAR AIEEA (PG) and ICAR AICE (PhD) 2026 examinations.

Once released, candidates will be able to access the respective answer keys through the official NTA website. The provisional keys will allow candidates to compare their recorded responses with the answers provided by the examination authority.

NTA will also open an objection window after releasing the provisional answer keys. Candidates who find discrepancies in any answer will be able to challenge the concerned question or answer by following the prescribed procedure and paying the applicable objection fee, if required.

UGC NET June 2026 Answer Key: Examination Details

The expected release of the provisional UGC NET answer key follows a delay in the post-examination process. The UGC NET June 2026 examination was conducted from June 22 to June 30 and again on July 5.

The examination is conducted for candidates seeking eligibility for Assistant Professor positions, admission to PhD programmes and the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). The delay in releasing the answer key has left many candidates waiting for clarity regarding their expected scores and upcoming academic or research plans.

What Happens After the UGC NET Provisional Answer Key?

After the provisional answer key becomes available, candidates will be able to calculate their probable scores by comparing the official answers with their responses recorded during the examination.

If a candidate believes that an answer in the provisional key is incorrect, they can submit an objection within the specified objection period. NTA will examine the challenges received from candidates and make corrections wherever necessary.

Following the completion of the objection process, the agency will prepare the final answer key. The final key will subsequently be used for determining the examination results.

NTA Answer Keys for Other Examinations

NTA is also expected to release provisional answer keys for several other examinations conducted in 2026, including:

• CSIR UGC NET: This examination is conducted to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship and Lectureship/Assistant Professor positions in various science subjects.

• ICAR AIEEA (PG): The examination is used for admission to postgraduate programmes in agricultural and allied disciplines.

• ICAR AICE (PhD): This examination is conducted for admission to PhD programmes.

Candidates who appeared for these examinations should wait for the official answer key announcements and follow the instructions issued by NTA for checking responses and submitting objections.
