NEET UG Counselling 2026: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has opened the Round 1 choice-filling facility for NEET UG Counselling 2026. Candidates who have completed the counselling registration can now log in to the official MCC portal and enter their preferred colleges and courses for admission to undergraduate medical programmes.

The choice-filling window will remain open until August 13, 2026. Candidates must submit and lock their preferences within the prescribed deadline. The seat allotment will be determined based on several factors, including the candidate's NEET UG rank, reservation category, availability of seats and choices submitted during counselling.

MCC conducts the centralised counselling process for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government medical and dental colleges. The counselling also covers participating institutions such as AIIMS, JIPMER, Central Universities, deemed universities and other eligible institutes across India.

Candidates seeking admission through the remaining 85% state quota seats must participate in the separate counselling process conducted by the respective state authorities. State-level counselling is conducted independently of the MCC's central counselling process.

Candidates can complete their Round 1 choice filling by following these steps:

• First visit the MCC official website.

• Log in to the NEET UG counselling portal using your registered credentials.

• Open the Choice Filling section.

• Select the colleges and courses you wish to apply for.

• Arrange your selected options according to your preferred priority.

• Review all the choices carefully before submission.

• Save and lock your choices before the deadline.

• Download or take a printout of the locked choice list for future reference.
