The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued a revised schedule for NEET SS 2025 Round 2 counselling after receiving directions from the Delhi High Court. In an official notice released on August 5, 2026, the committee announced that its earlier notification dated August 3, 2026, has been withdrawn with immediate effect and replaced with a new counselling timeline.

The revision comes in compliance with the Delhi High Court's order in Writ Petition (C) No. 11097/2026, Sunil & Another vs. Medical Counselling Committee, which permitted the petitioners to complete fresh registration and participate in the second round of NEET SS 2025 counselling.

August 3 Notification Cancelled

As per the latest notification, MCC has officially withdrawn the counselling notice issued on August 3, 2026. The committee stated that the decision was taken after considering the directions issued by the Delhi High Court regarding the participation of eligible candidates in Round 2.

The revised schedule provides candidates with an opportunity to complete the counselling process according to the updated timelines.

Revised NEET SS 2025 Round 2 Schedule

Candidates who wish to surrender their allotted seats can submit their resignation through the online portal until 4:00 PM on August 7, 2026. The registration and choice-filling portal for Round 2 will reopen on August 9, 2026, at 10:00 AM.

Updated Schedule Available on MCC Website

MCC has informed candidates that the complete revised counselling schedule is available on its official website under the e-Services section.

Candidates participating in NEET SS 2025 counselling are advised to carefully review the updated schedule and complete registration, choice filling, and other admission-related formalities within the prescribed deadlines.
