Description
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended the online application deadline for the Land Surveyor Recruitment 2026 after revising the minimum educational qualifications for the post. Eligible candidates can now submit their applications until August 20, 2026, while the last date to pay the application fee is August 21, 2026.
The extension was announced through an official notification issued on August 5, 2026, following a request from the Department of Land Revenue System and Land Records to modify the eligibility criteria. The recruitment drive, originally notified on July 11, 2026, aims to fill 560 Land Surveyor posts across Karnataka.
Revised Educational Qualifications
KEA has broadened the eligibility criteria, allowing more candidates to apply for the recruitment.
As per the revised notification, the following candidates are eligible:
Candidates holding a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university.
Associate Member of Engineers (AME) qualification holders in any branch of Engineering or Technology.
Candidates with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in disciplines such as:
Mathematics
Physics
Computer Science
Information Technology
Electronics
Communication
Agriculture
Horticulture
Fisheries
Forestry
Sericulture
Applicants with the above B.Sc. qualifications must have studied Mathematics or Physics during their course. Candidates possessing B.Sc. (Honours) degrees are also eligible.
Additionally, candidates who have completed a Diploma in Engineering or Technology from an institution approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) can also apply.

KEA has clarified that only the educational qualifications and the application deadline have been revised. All other terms and conditions mentioned in the original recruitment notification remain unchanged.
Recruitment Process
