Description

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opened the post-result service window for Class 10 students who appeared in the Main Board Examination and the Second Board Examination 2026. Students who wish to review their evaluated answer sheets or request verification and re-evaluation of their marks can now apply through the prescribed online process.

Earlier, CBSE announced the Class 10 Main Examination Result on April 15, 2026, followed by the Second Board Examination Result on July 18, 2026.

Post-Result Facilities Available

CBSE is offering the following services to students:

  • Scanned Copy of Evaluated Answer Sheet: Allows students to view their checked answer scripts.

  • Verification of Marks: Ensures that all answers have been evaluated correctly and that the total marks have been calculated accurately.

  • Re-evaluation: Enables students to request a fresh evaluation of one or more complete theory questions if they believe an error has occurred.

Students must first obtain the scanned copy of the answer sheet before applying for verification of marks or re-evaluation. Direct applications for verification or re-evaluation are not permitted.

Guidelines for Main Examination Candidates

Students who appeared only in the Main Board Examination should follow this sequence:

  • Apply for the scanned copy of the evaluated answer sheet.

  • Review the answer sheet carefully.

  • If required, submit an application for marks verification and/or re-evaluation for the same subject.

Guidelines for Students Who Appeared in Both Main and Second Board Exams

Candidates who appeared in both the Main and Second Board Examinations for the same subject have the option to request scanned copies of both answer sheets.

However, for verification of marks or re-evaluation, they must choose only one answer sheet—either the Main Examination or the Second Examination. Once this selection is made, the other answer sheet cannot be considered for further review.

For subjects attempted only in the Main Examination, the standard process remains applicable.

Important Dates and Application Fees

Step 1: Scanned Copy of Answer Sheet

  • Application Period: August 5 to August 9, 2026

  • Fee: Rs. 300 per subject

Step 2: Verification of Marks and Re-evaluation

  • Application Period: August 16 to August 19, 2026

  • Verification Fee: Rs. 300 per answer sheet

  • Re-evaluation Fee: Rs. 100 per question (including all sub-parts)

All applications and payments must be submitted online using UPI, Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking. Applications sent through offline modes such as post, cheque, demand draft, money order, or cash will not be accepted. Requests received after the deadline will also be rejected.

Important Instructions for Students

  • Only one application is permitted for each stage of the process. Students should carefully select all subjects before submitting their request.

  • Following verification or re-evaluation, marks may increase, decrease, or remain unchanged.

  • If there is any change in marks, students must surrender the existing Mark Statement-cum-Certificate, after which a revised certificate will be issued.

  • If marks increase after the review process, the application fee will be refunded to the original payment account.

  • The outcome of verification or re-evaluation will be available through the student's online login. CBSE will not send separate notifications regarding the result.

  • The decision after verification or re-evaluation will be final, and no further appeal will be entertained.

  • Re-evaluation is allowed only for complete theory questions and not for individual parts of a question.

CBSE Advisory

CBSE has advised students and parents to rely only on information available through its official website and communication channels. The board has cautioned against believing rumours or misleading posts circulating on social media.

The board has also clarified that while evaluated answer sheets may be obtained under the Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005, requests for marks verification or re-evaluation cannot be submitted through RTI. Such requests must be made only through the official post-result service process prescribed by CBSE.
