The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has published the provisional answer key, along with the question paper and candidate response sheet, for the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) CBT 2 Examination 2026 conducted under CEN 01/2025. Candidates who appeared for the examination on July 28, 2026, can now access these documents by logging in through the official regional RRB websites or the DigiALM portal.

To view the answer key and response sheet, candidates must log in using their registration number and date of birth or password. The provisional answer key allows candidates to review their responses, estimate their probable scores, and raise objections against any incorrect answers within the prescribed timeline. Earlier, the CBT 1 answer key for the same recruitment cycle was released on March 20, 2026.

RRB ALP CBT 2 Answer Key 2026: Objection Window

The objection facility is available from August 5 to August 11, 2026. Candidates who wish to challenge any answer in the provisional key must pay Rs 50 per question.

If the objection is found to be valid after verification by the board, the objection fee will be refunded to the candidate.

How to Calculate Expected Scores

Candidates can estimate their marks using the official marking scheme:

• +1 mark for every correct answer.

• -1/3 mark for each incorrect answer.

The final marks will be determined based on the revised answer key issued after all valid objections have been reviewed.

Candidates can follow these steps to access the answer key and response sheet:

• Visit the official regional RRB website or the DigiALM portal.

• Click on the CEN 01/2025 – Assistant Loco Pilot CBT 2 Answer Key link.

According to the official schedule:

• Last date to raise objections: August 11, 2026

• Final answer key, CBT 2 scorecard, and cut-off: Expected in September 2026

• Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT): Tentatively scheduled for September or October 2026

Meanwhile, the application process for the RRB ALP Recruitment 2026 (CEN 01/2026) has already concluded. Online registrations closed on June 14, 2026, while the application correction window remained open from June 17 to June 26, 2026. Details regarding the CBT 1 exam date, city intimation slip, and admit card for the new recruitment cycle are expected to be announced during August 2026.

Vacancy Details and Selection Process

The ongoing CEN 01/2025 recruitment is being conducted to fill 10,970 revised vacancies, while the CEN 01/2026 notification has announced 11,127 vacancies for Assistant Loco Pilot posts.

Both recruitment drives offer Level 2 posts under the 7th Central Pay Commission, with an initial basic pay of Rs 19,900.

The minimum qualifying marks are:

• UR/EWS: 40%

• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) & SC: 30%

• ST: 25%

For preparing the final merit list:

• CBT 2 Part A: 70% weightage

• Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT): 30% weightage

CBT 2 Part B is qualifying in nature and its marks are not considered for preparing the final merit list.
